  1. Idk if 2020 was his time, Noah Adams was 32-0 with wins over 6 AAs and was wrestling a very high level all season. This is no disrespect to Moore but Adams had a funky style and I personally thought he was going to win it all that season
  2. Well you can make the case they haven’t had an ncaa champ since 2018 when Synder won his 3rd and they haven’t had a champ not named Synder since Myles Martin in 2016 , that’s a pretty serious drought and this year doesn’t look great either , guys still don’t improve on bottom which has been an issue for a long time but Tom Ryan built that program up to championship level so no way you can say he’s a bad coach but maybe his message has gotten stale , maybe they haven’t evolved in other areas of training like Penn State or maybe they need to bring in a big name outsider as an assistant but if they want to win another title and battle it out with PSU again they need to do something different Once you compare them to anyone other then PSU and Iowa they are elite as it gets still. 60 something programs would kill to be on Ohio states level year in and year out and would jump on Tom Ryan in a minute if he ever left.
  3. The pletcher bump probably had more to do with McKenna graduating and pletcher not having to make that brutal cut to 133 anymore
  4. Garrett Thompson has looked good to start this year, took out Olguin and Connor Brady at cklv , knocked off AA Peyton Hall a few weeks ago too , good for the bobcats maybe they can have an AA this season
  5. Few wrestle back “upsets” Zaconne from Campbell knocks out Chelbove 149- Jordan Williams loses to Hofstras Noah Tapia 184- aaron ayzerov majors Foca , Ayzerov then lost to Fisher from V tech , Ayzerov is a tough dude , won NJ states his senior year with a torn Meniscus in a real tough weight , I think 1st thru 7th are all wrestling D1 now 184- Dylan Fishback over Munoz , Fisher over Kane , Bullock over Gavin Hoffman 197- Sonny Sasso was the last seed in the weight and in wrestlebacks beat the 16 seed Striggow, the #11 seed Bates, the 14th seed Hopkins from Campbell and then won by med ff over #4 Luke Surber, he faces #7 Nick Stammet next 285 Boone McDermott beat #4 Trephan , and Fernandes over Catka which is an upset in seed only
  6. The financial situation with the school as a whole can be described as rough at best, only way that program rises again if an outside donor is pumping money into the program and idk how many high roller donors Edinboro has to start throwing money at a niche sport
  7. 3 of Cardenas opponents were national finalists as well , lost Sloan the runner up in the R16, the Warner in wrestlebacks and Dean for 7th
  8. As far as ranking go Cardenas is a returning AA , Allred lost in the R12
  9. He ll have to beat Vito 3 more times this year
  10. Probably 2 things he should work on if he wants to beat Levi Haines
  11. They are from neighboring towns , I wonder if they have trained together before
  12. Foca loses to Wolf from Air Force …rough tourney for Bergen catholic , Griffith and Foca upset R16, Joe Cangro drew Shapiro 1st and got teched
  13. Princeton is greyshirting the top 2 recruits from their 2023 class McGowan and Rivera both could have Monday and glory like careers, Dubuque has been scooping up a lot of NJ recruits and I think he can take them further then Ayer’s did but for this season alot of matches are going to be a snooze fest …have to think Dubuque takes it to Escobedo , he spent the past 5 seasons rolling with Glory everyday
  14. If he has to sit first semester it’s because it’s a 3rd transfer , nothing to do with grades
  15. Idk if Davis is a favorite over Stanich , that kid is the real deal
  16. Kerk already wrestled the heavy from Lehigh at journeyman and it was a 6-1 match
  17. Just read an article saying he won M.A.C. Athlete of the week wrestling unattached at the Shorty Hitchcock so it seems that may be the case…I know it’s his 3rd Transfer in 3 years but I thought kids were allowed to leave without penalty if their coach left he is ranked by every ranking service and in all the write ups from Lock Haven make it seem like he ll be competing for the team at some point
  18. Any idea why Henson hasn’t wrestled in any duals? He has wrestled in multiple opens and is 10-1 and beat some solid guys but hasn’t wrestled in either dual, He doesn’t have a redshirt available and the guy whose been manning the 141 spot hasn’t been good at all, with Henson in the lineup Lock Haven might have been able to upset Arizona State which would have been a huge W for the program…He wrestled the weekend before and after the dual
  19. Lamar over Henson ? That’s a bold pick
  20. Well Corby not for nothing but he has his family growing in or right outside of Philly which is the worst it’s been crime wise in 3 decades , it’s not like Bloom is this big city he d need to live in , plenty of nice quiet places he could live in the surrounding area and probably get a lot of property for cheap , who knows maybe the man aspires to be a head coach and he sees this as a way to break in , he lives pretty close, he is an alum , he’s financially stable enough that 75k a year might not scare him away and he might not change the world but he ll immediately give them a bump in recruiting and hype . My whole point is why not give it a shot if you re a failing program that less then 10 years ago was having good success with this very guy as the leader ..also not like this guy in a NC or 4x AA if he wants to be a head coach at a big program one day he’ll have to start somewhere small and prove himself what better place then bloom
  21. https://pennsylvaniartc.org/richard-perry-hosts-free-clinics-in-middletown-ct/ you can argue about semantics all day idc
  22. I understand your point but on the Penn RTC page they literally refer to Perry as former world team wrestler , seen other guys like Aaron brooks and Joey McKenna referred to in the same manner as well
  23. He wasn’t a starter but he was definitely the 1st alternate and made the team, he was on the team training when the accident with his eye occurred
  24. I’m pretty sure the Perry family is probably set financially and he’s involved in wrestling for the sheer love of the sport , what does a school like Bloom have to lose trying to get an alum to breathe some life in a dead program
