  1. I agree a reversal should be the same value as a takedown. Should a 'catch & release' be worth a point? Letting a guy go rather than an actual escape is scored the same. Way different in reality. A point for an actual escape, nothing for a release, maybe? How about way more stalling calls for riding without attempting turns to go for pins? Would eliminate a Technical Fall. You can't pin, you wrestle the full match even it the score is 99-2.
  2. If you were any dumber you would be called Cinnebutt. Pot is still an illegal, controlled substance per US Government rules & laws. No matter that some States are soft on addicts, any time they want a Fed can nail you for having it. Prosecution may be dropped later but you will still have an arrest on your record. These athletes gambled knowing it was not allowed. They earned the punishment.
  3. What is a "Team Leader"? Walks first in line to trip land mines, or what?
  4. Do you guys think Hardy can get over the hump and win it all this year?
  5. The NCAA made the decision to toss them out based on the rules in place at the time. Now the NCAA is considering changing the rules. Those suspended or kicked out should still be so. Going forward, new rules mean new cosequences. Not retroactive changes. The athletes are young adults and learning there are real world concerns for their activities is part of growing up. While they play on the mats, fields and such many are getting shot, blown up and killed as part of their jobs. Young men and women in the military do the job, face strict rules all the time.
  6. They followed the rules and made the decision. If they want to change the rules going forward, no problem. Those suspended or kicked out knew the rules and broke them. Let them live with it.
  7. This is a good example of "tall man syndrome" - something that infects tiny minds who are obsessed with their balls.(read Basketeball types here) Weight is the determining factor in wrestling, not height. Tall and rangy, shorter & built like a fireplug - all have won and it won't change.
  8. Starocci will come back to see if he can win a 5th Title only to find and Iowa Hawkeye blocking his path. Angelo Ferrari meets him in the NCAA finals and pins him!
  9. Penn State has had some great wrestlers through the decades. Before Cael their last NCAA title had been in 1953. So, give Cael Sanderson coached guys at Penn State vs everyone else who ever wrestled for them - which team wins?
  10. Need to be a great rider, not a pinner & takedown artist.
  11. Yep. Short guys can't win. That guy BONO never really won anything either. All done by fake media.
  12. One reason I asked is because of former BYU wrestling Coach Fred Davis. When coaching he was asked why he was not recruiting kid from Utah. "Ever see an NCAA Champion from Utah?" was his answer. This was while on a recruiting trip to Idaho where he was recruiting a family of wrestlers who gave him four All Americans out of the six young men who wrestled for him. Don't remember if Cael was the first Utah kid to win an NCAA title.
  13. Any of the US States with no NCAA (D1) Champions? For this, multiple titles by a single wrestler count. As in Utah was zero until Cael and he gave them 4 titles - with fellow Utard Aaron Holker becoming the second to win a title. Is Pennsylvania #1? Or maybe Oklahoma because of all the pre-WWII champions? Anyone have a breakdown of the States?
  14. Don't talk about Special Glasses at Iowa. It triggers Spencer Lee into PTSD.
  15. Or one free from the con that is religion.
  16. My favorite African American is from South Africa. Charlize Theron. My favorite movie about South Africa is THE BANG BANG CLUB.
  17. The best looking wrestling mat around. Gable Steveson is kicking himself for not transferring to wrestle on this mat.
  18. Just watch, Thanksgiving is coming and he will open the freezer door and a Turkey will fall out and break his toes.
  19. The closer we get to the trials the more danger Rulon is in. Stay away from snowmobiles. Don't trip going through doors. Watch out for icy sidewalks. Don't get frosbitten fingers opening car doors in the snow. Don't go out in the dark without a flashlight. Rulon is disaster prone so safety tips are needed.
  20. Hey, when a guy can wrestle at Iowa, become an all time legend without ever taking the mat while garniering 27 PhD's - he will always be relevant.
  21. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/flag-football-los-angeles-olympics-2028-1.6990905 Flag Football in the Olympic Games? All while we can't get the full slate of weights in Freestyle Wrestling. We have to cheat some of our wrestlers and force them into a one time change for the Olympics after they spend three years wrestling at another weight. Now..., Flag Football? What will the USA call the team? The Taylor Swifts? At least Breakdancing is out.
  22. Yes, it should remain an Olympic Sport. Also the Wrestling folks should sue the Olympics to force full weight classes in the Olympics like the World Championships. After all, they don't force basketball teams to play with only 4 players or baseball with only 8. Why punish Freestyle wrestling? Forcing guys to suddenly change weight classes makes for a product that is not as good as it can be.
  23. Ed Ruth takes it. He was the best they have had. If Cael is there he would take any of them apart. (if younger & competing)
