  1. Initial post - might put the actual name of the school. Thought it was a toilet bowl cleaner.
  2. Sure they would. Neighbors teen age kid was pulled over for swerving across double yellow line on the highway. Avoided a ticket by telling the State Trooper he swerved to avoid a pheasant that flew across the road. Up here it could easily have been a muskrat...
  3. You gamble, you lose a full year. You do it again, you are out of your sport. Make it clear and enforce it. The whiners can still cry and those who get caught will know just what will happen to them.
  4. On an Attorney defending a Clients innocence after a jury finds them guilty. Many cases now where DNA evidence shows the convicted person in prison was not the perpetrator. Eyewitness testimony is always suspect. Many reasons a victim may not follow through to testimony in court. Opens them to being savaged by a defense attorney. At times can make the trauma much worse than what originally brought them to file a complaint. As for this turkey & Iowa - he and Brands deserve each other. Somehow I don't see "The Punt God" getting an NFL job now that proof shows he was not there when the alleged rapes happened. He, just like the Lacrosse guys - gets screwed big time even if not guilty.
  5. Sounds fine. One addition needs to be there. IF it is not already part of the program. If a Head Coach resigns/departs the athletes should have a set amount of time for transfers. The myth of "the athlete signs for the School" is not right much of the time. Look at Colorado. How many of those football players had the place on their radar before Neon Deion was announced as the new Coach? If you coach leaves you should have a chance to do so as well.
  6. We really shouldn't make fun of the French this way. Their school system emphasizes bi-lingual training from pre-school and up. They spend a lot time on language skills - teaching all the kids to say "I surrender" in German.
  7. A number of great wrestlers. But 6 of 6 Gold is perfect.
  8. Could be worse. You might see him and Cody drinking hot Postum. Or Brigham Tea.
  9. They are posting the matches they will actually wrestle. All the others they will "Pull a Spencer" and not show up. So, why put them on the schedule?
  10. Decriminalize and Legalizing are not the same thing. You legalize the stuff, make inspection for quality and purity mandatory and require Medical scrip to get it. Taxes and tax enforcement is much more efficient than cops trying to catch people on the street. They got Al Capone on tax fraud. As for "Medical Marajuana"... when did you ever vote on Penicillin, Viagra or any other "medical" treatment or drug? License the stuff, put money into real treatment and recognize no matter what some people just won't be helped. The Cartels can get "legal" supplying to major drug companies, maybe? Still make money and actually become legitimate. Then the poor souls who get hooked on Oxy from too liberal Doctors won't have to find a neighborhood supplier. Maybe they can get the help needed without the stigma and possible criminal prosecution. Someone deals illegally - massive punishment enhancements. Mandatory LONG prison terms. No answer is perfect but what we are doing now is not working - just a full employment for cops, lawyers and judge program.
  11. Alchol is legal - but alcoholics... yes. Grew up with the drunken child/spouse beating bastards. They are worse than junkies as they are so often excused for their killings and damage while drunk.
  12. Funny thing is that "caffeine" is not part of the mormon Word of Wisdom. Hot Drinks - tea & coffee. Booze - though the "revelation" says barley drinks are OK - Joseph Smith drank beer. MEAT - sparingly, only in times of Cold and Famine. Not many Mormons even believe this one. Cael is doing a good job. Let hm have his Mountain Dew.
  13. You are dealing with illegal substances and criminals - you deserve whatever happens. The Cartels would be out of business if they did not have a steady stream of customers for their product. Get rid of the junkies - serious or recreational - and the drug probem ends. if they all have to get shot to end it - good riddance. They commit so many other crimes to get and use this illegal crap we would benefit if they all died overnight.
  14. No on Texas. The Great State allowed the US to be annexed to it. Also allows the US Flag to fly the same height as their great Flag of the Lone Star Republic. Don't mess with Texas.
  15. True Double Elimination tournament solves the problem. Also solved the frustration of those who travel thousands of miles to compete and only get one match. At the very least all would be assured to two chanced to place, barring injury or pulling out somehow. Better yet would be a Double Elimination tournament with each team allowed two wrestlers per weight.
  16. https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/college/asu/2019/11/22/no-10-asu-wrestling-stuns-no-1-penn-state-ending-60-match-dual-win-streak/4274556002/ ASU beats Penn State - finally..., the ammunition needed to force them to drop their program?
  17. Civil trials. Sexual predator, not a rapist is what was found. Not criminal prosecutions..., not yet. He better hope that doesn't happen for rape.
  18. Nope, While iowa will most likely underperform and Penn State possibly overperform - others will do well and score more than this projection show. Cornell will do better.
  19. He's a cheeze Internet Artist?
  20. Possibly. If he were and the two older Sanderson brothers went there Cael may have followed as at ISU. I doubt ASU he would have done it even with Bobby as coach. He might have done it at Oklahoma State under John Smith. I understand it was his first choice but going with his brothers swayed the decision.
  21. If Cael & Co had been at BYU no way would Cael have 4 NCAA titles. Even if his Father coached him he would not have done it - and Steve is an excellent coach. Cael had the talent and the moves but Bobby Douglas was a big part of his success.
  22. How about Mormon Church "prophet" Joseph Smith. He was running for President of the US when he lost the gunfight at the jail. Was supposedly a good wrestler in his time. Downside, other than religion might be his conviction for fraud in taking money from people for finding Gold and Treasure using a magic peepstone. The kind he later used to "translate" the Gold Plates from an Angel into the Book of Mormon.
  23. I actually have a Junk Yard Dog. Neighbors had a good looking dog & when we asked they said 'another litter coming soon' and we were ready. Took some time but finally our dog showed up. Seems their relatives own a junkyard and this was the last of the litter. Last because he was too wild and it took almost two weeks to get him into a live trap. We had to put a harness on him and running line for a few days before we let him off - and he stayed around. VERY territorial. Blue Healer/Corgi mix. Would bite behind the legs and if you were not family or I was not there he would not let you into the yard. Bit through a tire on the mailmans vehicle one time. Very effective in keeping the "midnight auto" types from stopping at our farm. The other three dogs were all bigger but this little 22 pound guy quickly became the Alpha. Was interesting watching him boss around our 105 pound hound. He is not an Iowa fan.
