  1. I would go with Pitino. Quick duals. All their matches would be done in less than thirty seconds.
  2. Oh, I'm aware. Please reference the original post I was responding to. But yes, I also see what you are referring to. I just don't see a guy who is being talked about at 157 being a 174 in the near future. Yes, it can happen.
  3. Maybe, but I have heard that 157 isn't out of the question. If true, a BIG 174 is a long ways away from 157. Also, will it be unfair to his opponents if he is a BIG 174 and has a weight advantage when they wrestle?
  4. You are probably right, but 1) Each state has a different set laws and regulations governing NIL, producing some inequities between various institutions 2) No one from the NCAA really seems to care about policing this type of stuff at the moment.
  5. Hopefully Passis is "all in," and is mentally and physically ready to do damage. I'm sure this isn't a surprise to many of us on the board, and I heard rumblings of it a month or so ago. When did Parris find out? I mean, we did include Gable as an entry. I thought it was odd, but telling, that we also included Parris. I understand the whole "training partners are on the list,' I just thought Parris was on odd choice of training partner.
  6. I certainly don't assume that, but Zare is allegedly younger (theoretically allowing him greater improvements). Also, how many wins has Zare had over top 3 guys since then? How many does Mason have? (Believe me, I want another Mason WBF)
  7. If I remember correctly, the #3 is pretty solid as well.
  8. I'd love to see Parris (or whomever our rep is) win worlds; but I have to wonder if Parris is even top 3 in Iran, let alone the entire planet.
  9. I think Askren said that he was becoming too predictable and forcing stuff from the outside on his feet. He has made a concerted effort to mix it up since.
  10. And I think that's when Askren says that Messenbrink had his turning point. Made stylistic changes, and we now see a very different wrestler today.
  11. People don't seem to be quite as high on Sealey as they were a year ago.
  12. Yeah, that is the case. I don't think they have enough money at that institution to afford those scholarships. Duke is really struggling financially, by all accounts.
  13. I have also heard that NC State was looking into leaving. Did I hear Big 12?
  14. Stanford hits UNC, NC State, Duke one weekend. The next year they hit UVA and VTech. That won't be too bad at all.
  15. This works out pretty well for wrestling. Other sports, not so much. Better have some good pitching for baseball! Stanford wrestling could handle a weekend (every other year) where they travelled to the Triangle to wrestle the Wolfpack, UNC, and Duke. Not great for your bullpen's arms in baseball.
  16. Not if he takes his Olympic year. But he's also not transferring to Stanford.
  17. Wouldn't Penn State even be "more full circle" for Koll?
