  1. Does this guy wrestling for bronze have a name that’s pronounced “fart Nazi “? (phartenadze)
  2. Koll actually retired from Cornell. I would imagine he is collecting his Cornell pension, in addition to his UNC salary. Additionally, he is at a great academic school with one of the top brands in college sports. He won’t have to cut as many corners or deal with the same type of obstacles that he did at Cornell and Stanford. He is going yo do just fine. He probably won’t win nationals, but he can probably improve on what is already there and win a trophy if he stays around long enough.
  3. Bronze Star recipient Bill Koll, father of PSU wrestling
  4. I’m not sure. In many combat sports, the heavies tend to have longer careers.
  5. Dake has to work hard at not de-aging too rapidly. He’s in danger of becoming pre-pubescent again.
  6. Has anyone ever watched Iranian nationals? Is it just a bunch of guys underhooking each other and getting pushouts for six minutes?
  7. I think too much was made about Woods reacting to Swiderskis chipiness and then getting his first Carver win. The rest of the season showed that Woods was a pretty good sport and Swiderski an agitator. Brock Hardy’s brother reported on another forum that Woods sought out Hardy after the meet and had a brief and positive conversation with him… and this was after Iowa had told their team to not shake hands after a contentious dual, if I recall. Also look at NCAA finals: in the midst of the most important match of his life, Woods is joking around with Alirez during the nearly 10 minute tape review.
  8. Of course! Martin jersey born and MD prep school?
  9. That’s only if you count Snyder, Maroulis, Myles Martin, and PD3 as studs!
  10. He beat abakarov in a practice match. Keep in mind that this means almost everything in the scheme of things. It means even slightly more than a fantasy match!
  11. "America" and "American" are capitalized. You will do well to remember this, son.
  12. My guess is the NBC the IOC has it on pretty strict lockdown. It may be on YouTube but unavailable to the general public. I have heard athletes say that the IOC is so restrictive that they are unable to watch their own Olympic bouts.
