  1. To the best of my knowledge, yes. Now it’s Camacho, Jack, Kovacs. Although Danbury seems to be wayyyy down after the retirement of their legendary coach a couple years back. Actually begged out of a dual meet they were going to lose last year. “Too many guys bunged up…”
  2. Yes. NC State seems to have a lock on Danbury (3 starters). And the ponagannsett program seems to be doing a better job of recruiting talent than sacred heart does!
  3. That would be hilarious, just from what I saw of him in the flo documentary on the toughest bracket ever.
  4. Funny thing... they already had a shot at an Iowa school and didn't think they could make it work.
  5. Good move, as your charts will show, four is usually a greater number than two.
  6. Tom and Terry. That was Brent's choice as well.
  7. I have one career tie. 7-7. Started out down by 6-7 points and then my gas tank kicked in. Still, a very empty feeling.
  8. I'm sure that he probably thinks everyone should wrestle like him. It would be great if they all did, but really there is only one DT.
  9. Is this the same Messenbrink that only beat Haines because of freestyle tricks? I kid! I kid!
  10. I think he's fine, but perhaps not as great as others are making him out too be. He's probably my favorite wrestler to watch in the last 15 years, but I also don't have the Nittany Lion fan loyalty anymore, so I am not as starstruck by him as others may be.
  11. Smith and Burroughs are pretty good.
  12. I personally cringed when I saw the clip of him "playing football." He hadn't wrestled since U23, correct? I'll be surprised if he wrestles before January. Maybe mid to late January.
  13. He may be, but keep in mind he had the inside scoop on a large number of yesterday's competitors. I wonder how he would do at the Cy-Hawk for instance? We will find out with JB this weekend!
  14. Ref's decision was the final tie breaker for individual matches. I saw it one time in person. Coin flip is still the final criteria (criteria q) for determining tied high school duals. I would guess that something similar exists in college, though I havent checked a rulebook in about 20 years.
  15. Lewis looks very large in person. I stood next to him last year, and the dude is jacked. (moreso in person than on TV, I would say)
  16. He has been holding his knee since I saw him at the ACC tourney last season, maybe before. IOt is nothing new. As far as Starocci, that is the best that I have ever seen him look by a wide margin. I have not been a fan of the matches throughout his career where he has seemingly coasted despite his immense ability; nor have I been a fan of his mouth and keyboard (at times). However, he looked like the best wrestler in the nation tonight. Brooks hasn't been up yet, but I can't imagine a better performance over an opponent with the accolades of Lewis. Well done. 74 Kg Olympic team may still be a bit of a stretch, especially with his size and the timing of the OTT.
