  1. Totally agree. We have multiple cases on this board and thread where two guys from the same graduating class are considered "generational talents." That is not how it works. Probably more accurate to say "can't miss prospects."
  2. Askren did say that he liked McDonough which was difficult for him with his strong hatred of the Hawks. I think he liked Gross too, but I bet he didn't like what happened to McD. He also seemed tight with Moran and Wick, neither of whom appear to have left Madison on a positive note.
  3. 1. I thought Woods won by tech? That is the joke, right? 2. When big guys fall on you, it hurts. Don't give them many chances to fall on you.
  4. Maybe he's pissed at himself for letting himself coast? It could be a lot of things. Like you said, only he knows that.
  5. I know it is hard against talented opponents, but I think I'd like to see Lee keep dudes off his legs when he decides to coast.
  6. I thought that Megaludis length/flexibility/strength/toughness all were on display to avoid being taken through with that lace. Not everyone is going to be able to resist that.
  7. I thought the first one counted and the ones after didn't? This stops guys from forfeiting out of a potential loss. "The first medical forfeit of a tournament will count as a loss on the wrestler's record. An exception will be if the medical forfeit occurs immediately after an injury default in a tournament." https://www.ncaa.org/news/2023/6/8/media-center-3-point-takedown-approved-in-wrestling.aspx
  8. Ben tried to psych him with a boom box out while he was warming up.
  9. I'm not sure where you are going with this? I agreed with you that Arnold would at least be competitive and have a shot at winning. He proved it in freestyle, and now he's proved it against a grown ass man (in folk) when some said he couldn't. I was taking a relatively small victory lap. (I don't get many on LeDuke)
  10. ... and now he's wrestled folkstyle against a 21+ year old man!
  11. Poor Minnow. Spent a lot of money on his fly Rutgers blackout outfit, only to be disappointed.
  12. And I'm honestly thinking about this as I just went for a run, not trying to be combative or trolling. I fully agree that most people on earth would be in these middleweights, but I'd argue that soccer and cricket take a disproportionate number of those guys... leaving the leftovers for wrestling. There are some big soccer players, certainly, but I'd imagine most of them are around the middle. Disproportionately so. Not a lot of Akgul sized footballers!
  13. Fadzaev? Burroughs? Sidakov? Dake? Big Yaz? Monday? Both Satievs?
  14. Wait! I though Kevin Garnett claimed he was 6'12" because 7 footers were too awkward and unathletic?
  15. I'm thinking from college. What nation is he representing?
