  1. I wouldn't say he's being rewarded for not being there, as he was already @#1. However, he didn't put it on the line this weekend. I'm a pack fan, but wouldn't have a problem with him dropping in rankings. Rankings are just someon's opinion anyway.
  2. What if both guys back up in order to set up their takedowns?
  3. Good choices. Marstellar seems like a great guy and a great story, but some stuff may scare off a risk averse (almost all) AD. Green is great with this group. Taylor seems to go back and forth. D1 coach was a goal of his, then I heard he was enjoying his club too much, now it seems like he's interested in the big time again.
  4. Statue of Maj. Dick Winters (Band of Brothers) in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, France.
  5. I love how thankful the French are for US efforts in WWI and WWII.
  6. That would have been a long time ago. It was in effect in the 80s and 90s, at least for D1.
  7. The number of people who think a takedown is worth 3 in high school wrestling is terrifying.
  8. Great pic! I think earlier in the war, the let you rotate out after 20 missions (as you mentioned). Later in the war, that turned into 30 missions because casualties were so high that they were (presumably) having personnel shortages (or could forsee them).
  9. Thanks goodness for men like your grandfather. 35 missions is a tall order! Listening to Rob Koll talk about his father in WWII is also very inspiring. I think Koll stated that the only trophies on display in his home are Bill Koll's medals.
  10. Agreed. It was a good post until the "bellyaching" part. Probably should have left that out. I wasn't looking for toxicity, but admittedly have been focusing a lot of my energies into the study of WWII recently. Perhaps that made me a bit more sensitive? Have a great weekend.
  11. He literally said "stop bellyaching about greyshirts and covid years," because this guy took years off to fight WW2. Sorry, I don't let that crap slide.
  12. Not sure what you're talking about? You literally tried to equivocate someone greyshirting to a man fighting fascism and ultranationalism. I'm not saying you are team-Axis, but the Greatest Generation deserves a little respect. The info was interesting; the context- not so much. Also, not coming after you specifically, I would have made that post regardless of the OP. (and your silly little meme isn't helping you; in fact makes your original post a bit more contemptible. )
  13. A little different than "greyshirting" and "redshirting" in order to gain a competitive advantage. This man gave up years of his life to fight against one of the greatest evils the world has ever known. I don't think that should be trivialized in the slightest. Yes, the spread of years is interesting, but fighting Hitler/Tojo should not be made light of.
  14. I think you have to join his OnlyFans to see the other stuff!
  15. That used to be a rule in college wrestling. It didn't survive.
  16. Maybe, but it wasn't that long ago that they shut Lehigh out and nearly shut them out in individual match points!
