  1. Pretty sure Junior Jacob Moran at IU (who also had a gap year) was finally reaching 125 sustainably last year. So give Steen a few more years.
  2. UFC seems to want to make him a priority this yet. As long as he reminds exiting in fights to fans I think he get to some ranked fights relatively quickly. But agree he likely won’t be near title fight status before next year. Not to mention Dana does like to slow roll the hyped on a few big names as they get closer to a title to ensure the most fan interest. So you have to figure if he’s running through some talented people Dana will give him 3 top 10 fighters prior to the title.
  3. Wonder how fast Indiana is skyrocketing up that ladder after beating Maryland earlier this week??
  4. Not a fan of consistent play by play calls. We are watching the video so we can see the action. Anyone paying for it clearly knows the basic moves. Announcer should really be there for background info, occasional in match technique insight, and some commentary when something causes a big match swing. Let the rest of the match play out with the crowd noise.
  5. And so loud compared to the broadcast volume. I swear my speakers about piped a few times when a intermission or add comes on.
  6. Momir has a grandson currently on the Wolverine wrestling team, which he had been working with through high school. So continuing that family connection may have played a factor in his decision to help their program.
  7. Seems reasonable considering what it gets the country as a result.
  8. I think that close. Send a participant to to PanAm Championships to gets you to send a wrestler to Worlds. Olympics you have three routes. 1. Medal at Worlds or now win a special bronze medal loser wrestle off at an Olympic weight. 2. place top 2 in the Continental Championship. 3. I believe they just changed the Last Chance Qualifier to the top 2, plus the winner of a special bronze medalist wrestle-off.
  9. For the most part. They do have a few others dancing around the Top 20 rankings, but consistency is still not there.
  10. Honestly I don’t think Jordan really wants the job. He is able to be much more of that attack dog from where he is currently than if he was made Speaker. The Speaker is tasked more with keeping the House flowing and in some cases having to bargain with the opposing side to move bills along. Jordan has more freedom call out the Dems by remaining where he is without the issue of taking the Speakers blame for the House being completely stalled out for the next two years. In sports terms he likes being the team enforcer and you don’t usually make that type your team captain.
  11. If Lee had two good knees would he be as good? These are questions we need to know.
  12. He also apparently claims the season is too long as part of why the guys are currently out. But we are just halfway though now. By that logic if we had a shortened season wouldn’t those sick and injured guys still be out but it would be around conference and NCAAs instead.
  13. But chips seems to be an internal one against a teammate and maybe slightly his coaches (though it should be more there from my view). Is there a cerebral assassin on staff that can somehow twist that into a chip against the rest of the 125ers field?
  14. Well you could probably bail on the potential of this event too. But the point is it’s still one more possibly solid event stringing more teams out in multiple winter break locations. So it’s still seems like almost all coaches are saying we are choosing this one or one of the multiple others.
  15. Come on, the development we have seen and hopefully will continue to see from the New Orleans Collegiate Duals was the closest we have had to this in years. Almost all didn’t do both (and seems like a limited squad if they did), so is that the trade off most solid programs want us to decide between?
  16. Is the philosophy for several coaches becoming we are either going to give fans a good mid-season national dual or a tough mid-season tournament, but we aren’t doing both. Seems like that’s were things have went with a decent nationals duals (could be better) and now several very watered down tournament that look like or maybe weaker than most week one events.
  17. For some of us it take a large part of our life to find a soulmate.
  18. He spending most of High School learning to follow and lock down 170-190lb wrestlers. Definitely an assist when it comes dealing with keeping up with college big guys on the mat.
  19. I feel like that type of HS restriction would only be possible by a Level 60 Karen.
  20. He was directing it at the coaches, but from what it looks what he said was about Drake not about them. (Stare down of Drake walking off) Then turns to the coaches and says what looks like “He wanted to go. He wanted that” Then after the hand raise said something that harder to determine but seems to point his mouthpiece towards Drake when he says it So again if things was figured out pre-tournament from the coaches then they dropped the ball and Spencer’s annoyance is misplaced.
  21. Gotta consider with the weakness of this event the possibility of this final matchup was there. Any issue on how they would approach the situation could/should have easily been worked through the coaching staff prior to tonight’s match. If not Spencer’s annoyance should have been with them not Drake.
