    i think the ref should have discretion as to when the whistle blows, this touch the floor stuff is stupid, like how is that not a stalling call every time.

    yeah, but he doesn't have any choice. I'm not saying he can't make weight, i'm just saying he is a 133, and he's one of the people whose simply a tweener. Starocci is the same I think, and I don't cheer for starocci but I do wish he had a weight so I can know how good he really is.

    i saw fix at the weigh in for super 32 at 126 when he was a junior or senior in highschool, looked like a zombie.

    I'd say that if there was a third period lee would have lost, but thats just not the rules. I think Lee hasn't had time to get in shape yet. The guy we get at the olympic team trails will be different.

    yeah that might be it, but thats more of a high school mentality than a college or senior level mentality. Given his history of injury, you'd think they wouldn't spam matches, but maybe he's just pissed off?

    no way the Cornell staff pushes their golden goose out their if he's significantly concussed. Unless he hid it from them... To repeat myself in the form of a question, how often has he lost in the last 5 years? I think he just isn't used to it.

    Lee is not an athlete either. But maybe that supports your point, the difference is one pulls the trigger.

    do you think bartlett, who i'll never count out because he's tough and PSU, is actually sort of modest talent? He doesn't have freakish scoring ability nor the kyle dake close match genius.

    yeah why? i know there are conference hoops to work around but obviously we have to get PSU iowa every year, you'd think they could work it out. Iowa tOSU is a more compelling dual than Iowa PSU at this point, cause Iowa has no shot, and historically get matches they won in the conference and duals turned on them anyway, so who cares?

    he might, he never looked big in high school as a 138, but blew through everyone like they were children anyways. He might be one of these fast twitch guys that are incredibly dense. WIth mendez looking better and better I wouldn't be surprised.

    Maybe he just wants freestyle matches? Just seems a little odd sense these days at that level you just check the qualified box and go back the basement. is there some tactical reason? seeding? eating up a qualifying spot for someone else?
