  1. yeah but now you have to put a team next to them. Which team other team has the best shot at multiple champs?
  2. Starocci obviously, plus they'll give him his fifth title.
  3. might have to give brands the edge. Seem to be in a bit better shape, plus Smith's style probably tranlates more poorly to old age...
  4. I think Smith and Brands go out of their way to have this dual meet happen, would be odd if they didn't put their best lineups in...plus being in different conferences helps reduce the temptation to duck i think...
  5. there is a fringe benefit to the weight being in complete choas, it makes the whole weight exciting in terms of the race for 2nd.
  6. i see what you mean but I don't think it's haterish to refuse to give someone credit for things they didn't do...
  7. i did too, but the guy is entitled to try to win the match, I didn't see anything to make me think he would have preferred to lose and injure Lee as opposed to just lose.
  8. yonger is athletic and smart and technical and tough....not sure why he can't beat anyone 1/3 times at worst.
  9. keep in mind that he's not old. The things exposing him are no big deal at all (because he'll fix them) compared to his overall style, which in my opinion is almost perfectly balanced. Biggest problem with him from what I can tell is that he is a little too wild, so he might get hurt, but criticisms like that are only things I consider after assuming he's a multiple ncaa champ.
  10. The weird thing about trying to call this dual meet (or duel) is that the wind is blowing in OSU's favor. Momentum is unquantifiable, invisible, untouchable and 100% real. Iowa wins on paper but they're fighting for their reputation and OSU is chasing a new one at this point. It makes the arnold match so big for Iowa because that's their opening to grab some momentum as a program.
  11. none of it was very consequential, he was just a cowboy about stalling calls on the edge depending on who was winning, which annoys me because refs aren't supposed to judging intent.
  12. yeah but I checked and some people on mizzo actually have the flu
  13. have you noticed hidlay has the same weird build as mark hall?
  14. na he doesn't want to give him a chance to escape, i didn't start wrestling till the 4 seconds mark.
  15. the most underrated antagonist in the history of sports movies. Guys real life story was amazing too.
  16. I'm kinda surprised no coach has turned this issue around and said, "yeah we're ducking, the rules told us to". I guess the problem is they have clueless admins to answer to.
  17. There might be upside for carr....but mesenbrink would have to take a loss i guess.
  18. best solution to watch this morning i've found is if you have flo click on the replay tab and then scroll through the 2 hour mat coverage video.
  19. Whats o'tooles goal seeding wise? You'd think it would be get away from Carr and Mesenbrink....if he splits matches with carr, he likely doesn't achieve that, if he skips the dual and and wins big 12s, I think its very likely he'll get the 1 seed and be away from both.... So ducking makes sense. They Ramirez loss might screw my assumptions up, but i think its way less likely than Mesenbrink #2 and Carr #3
  20. Didn't you guy see pyles 12 minute definitive breakdown where he broke news like this is still a rivalry, carr is 2-1 against o-toole, but KOT won at NCAAs so even though Carr has more wins it sort of doesn't matter because wrestlers care about who wins the NCAA tournament and KOT won the tournament but that doesn't mean pyles is counting Carr out, because carr can make adjustments but will KOT make adjustments, and anticipated counter adjustments, and adjustments adjustments all over the place...but pyles won't tell us that they are... Jokes aside I think KOT has continually improved. I think he's gonna run the table and win the hodge.
