I'm surprised too... he might just be a greedy diva...but he's never seemed particularly attention seeking before so that seems hard to believe.

yeah and not to slide into the positive, but his freshmen title run was boring, lots of basically stalling on top, but that was his only path to winning and it showed as a young wrestler he had a lot of poise and guts and knew how to win. His next year he was visibly improved in every way....if character wasn't an aspect of talent he'd be as promising as anyone in the NCAA.

not to be argumentative, but sense we don't make excuses for people based on them just not being athletic enough (though we do sometimes point out that super elite guys are more athletic than others), which they can't control, I'm generally cynical about "if he got in shape" arguments.

I think Ferrari actually has a shot...."if he can find a stable training situation", hilarious how interchangeable Downey's stupidity if with ferraris. But again back to the serious part, Ferrari has a way better chance at finding one than Downey. I base this on hearing that ferrari doesn't drink while downey is basically a meme for substance abuse, and I've heard ferrari is a good teammate, while downey is supposedly toxic....also Ferrari is way better at wrestling than downey in my opinion but that might be a minority opinion. Disclaimer, thats all hearsay.

I recently decided that I think its a moral duty to start restoring the definition of the word "racism." Last weekend a friends girlfriend told me "you're such a white man", and I just ignored it because she's sort of dumb, but I should have pointed it that such comments are just a resentful mechanism intended to weaponize racism and sexism under the idiotic idea that doing that is how you prevent future injustice. In my opinion the word "genocide" is people manipulated similarly, and to indulge my partisan side I also think "gender affirming care" and "pro-choice" are repulsive euphemisms intended to deceive people. I'm sure the right does this too, the most obvious example I can think of now is "collateral damage" as an expression for random people getting blown up, what others am I missing?
