    Would such a rule change be good for the sport? Consolation matches are already of less importance and get less viewership. Plus, doesn't every wrestler end up in consolation except for 2 guys? It sounds like this rule change ultimately benefits the top 2 wrestlers in every weight class and belittles the rest, not a fan.     It's possible because we're in offseason and people tend to be a little heavier during this time. Many wrestlers get their weight down before season instead of trying to maintain a specific weight year round

    Agreed, wouldn't be shocked to see Ferrari surpass Siebrecht at 157 if Chittum gets down to 149. If not, maybe should redshirt. People are emphasizing that Chittum went up a weightclass in a recent tournament, but maybe he just doesn't want to cut weight or go on a strict diet for 7 months? I think its tbd but some people are aggressively claiming he goes 157 next year

    Really hope so. Kid is an absolute vibe and natural entertainer. Would like to see him right the ship and get back in ncaa, preferably Iowa!

    I never questioned Penn States integrity or reasoning for going after talent, I only questioned the overly expressed confidence of PSU fans

    Sounds like fake confidence. PSU fans act like there's no competition but they get on the internet and debate for every transfer tooth and nail. Something doesn't line up. Aren't you guys the michael jordans of developing talent? Looks more to me like PSU fans are getting uncomfortable on that mountain top. Heard AJ might be on the way to Iowa and everyone over in Pennsylvania started squirming. "Quick boys, take the forums before they get anyone else!"

    Some people are calling the transfer portal "free agency" in todays ncaa scene. Just saw a video of Deon Sanders saying that. Don't know how I feel about it

    If Penn State is soo unbeatable and soo much better at developing talent then why are you guys soo concerned about where these transfers are going?

    PSU is landing so many guys lately they're running out of holes to fill. Eventually top tier talent will have no choice but to go other places as well. I think it's possible this commit hurts the chances of landing Nagao, but we will see, I'm just speculating in theory and of course it's still up in the air. The timing just seems like it could be relevant to transfer rumors. I mean, top recruits don't just commit to colleges on any random day. Everything is well thought out and calculated

    Nagao has 3 years left, Lilledahl and Gibson will both be there his junior/senior year. There isn't enough space for everyone

    Does this commit hurt PSU chances of landing the Nagao transfer? It happens to be during peak of transfer season! Interesting. Now he would have Gibson and Lilledahl to compete with for starting spots in multiple years. Wonder if this could be a deterring factor. Nonetheless PSU fans should be excited about the commit regardless, Luke is elite
