  1. No wait, Lee went up 5-3 at one point, then lost the lead. Madness
  2. You're right, Bartlett scored first and never lost the lead. Good match
  3. Nick Lee blew a several point lead and was upset in the semis by Beau Bartlett
  4. Isaac Trumble beat the #2 seed Timothy Dudley and is going to the finals, big upset
  5. He finished the match after the injury. Spencer Lee withdrew from his semi final match with Suriano
  6. Yeah whatever Jimmy, you got any more fake news you want to break for us? I predicted this, see above... Brands is a great coach, and he just won a title 2 years ago, and he has the #1 recruiting class of 2023. Iowa is only a couple of studs away from having a similar lineup. Penn State might have the most talented roster ever assembled, but other teams aren't going to sit around and spectate. Next offseason could see more transfers than ever before, and Penn State might not have any holes to spare, meaning Iowa, Cornell, NC State could be in play for some big fish like Penn State was this year
  7. I'm sure the judge will be calling everyone on this thread the night before the verdict for professional advice
  8. I wonder how the forum is going to react to the decision, hopefully people don't assault each other
  9. Who needs a lawyer when you can get all the information from the pros here on the forum? Guess the case is closed. Lock him up. Forum said so...
  10. Is it for certain that his decision is Iowa or is that rumors at this point?
  11. They think Cael has super power coaching ability and his recruits were nomads off the street that trusted the process...
  12. They competed against each other last summer in freestyle, Nagao won 9-8 and went on to make the U23 world team, and this was before his first year of college wrestling experience. Good match, but perhaps the talent gap has expanded since then
  13. Iowa 2024 with Nagao and AJ 125 Ayala 133 Nagao*/Teske 141 Woods 149 Siebrecht/Rathjen 157 Chittum/Ferrari 165 Kennedy 174 Brands 184 Arnold/Assad 197 Ferrari*/Glazier/Franklin 285- Cassioppi Redshirt: Kale Peterson, Ryder Block, Koye Grebel, Anthony Ferrari, Ben Kueter 2025: add Angello Ferrari, plus potential transfer.... Result: Juggernaut. Give it another year or 2, there will be 3-5 juggernauts is my prediction. Powerhouse programs like OKS, OHS, Nebraska, NC State are all going to get better as big name transfers continue to be a common occurrence in the offseason
  14. Teske went 1-2 at the national tournament as a junior, Nagao placed 5th as a freshman AA... Teske is a tough kid but I think Nagao wins that matchup quite easily
  15. Haven't seen any Nagao to Iowa official confirmation, but I wasn't trolling haha. I admit I am a passionate hawkeye fan, but I think this is just the beginning. It won't be just PSU and Iowa. Multiple big programs will be stacked within a few years of these transfer rules and nil money involvement. It's like the nba when all the star players started jumping on the same teams together making "super teams," which everyone said ruined the league, but that's another subject... PSU is still without question the favorite in 2024 nonetheless, but Nagao and AJ Ferrari could things interesting right away
  16. Are you pretending somewhere in your mind that Angelo wouldn't look good in a Iowa singlet?
  17. With new transfer rules there will be multiple juggernauts. We saw it happen to Alabama football recently. First PSU will get everyone they want, then elite wrestlers will transfer to other big programs in response. Who it really hurts is the mid tier programs trying to stay afloat. They can lose some of their best guys any given offseason, and we will continue to see that happen with these portal rules and nil money involved. It will hard for programs with less talent and less money to keep their best guys, sadly
  18. Iowa has holes to fill at 133, 149, 184, 197. Seibrecht at 149 could be interesting, Arnold has potential at 184 unless he redshirts for Assad, and AJ could be the 197 pounder by the end of next year, pending legal process. So 133 seems to be the biggest concern. They would need Nagao or Cannon to have a microscopic chance. I have low confidence in Teske, and Kale Peterson is a stud freshman but might need a year to physically develop
  19. Kueter wrestled 220 in highschool this year and he's going 97 kg (214) in the US Open this month. Might be too big for 197. Plus him getting bigger in ncaa football preparation this summer is likely. But the fact the he's competing in the US Open shows he still has legit interest in wrestling. Iowa haters are trying to send him to the nfl already but we will see
  20. There is nothing better for a mans character development more than the sport of wrestling, especially therapy with some quack. Couldn't disagree with you more, and you're probably trolling me anyway
  21. He has Minnesota also listed in his top 5 I believe
  22. So AJ's entire ncaa career is in jeopardy unless they can work something out, yikes. Hopefully he gets a 2nd chance. Think the best thing for his character development is to stay in ncaa wrestling and not switch over to mma yet
