  1. For training camps; different international tours; to keep guys active, engaged, and improving; etc. I've followed this sport for decades. Almost never has someone had to be replaced at Worlds/Olympics (Hancock, Garrett, who else?). The idea of going three deep has nothing to do with "we need a #3 in case the top two get hurt!!!"
  2. I feel like that is at least two straight by the much younger Vito, too. (possibly three straight) Add in familiarity, this is not a great trend for Garrett. In Garrett's favor, he has a training situation much better than it has been in years.
  3. I have nothing against Vito, but I would probably prefer Garrett. I like Garrett, and always have, despite some of the claptrap that comes out of his mouth. Still, I have yet to see anything that proves to me that Garrett is a "better athlete" as defined by 'jumping' and "explosion."
  4. I'm upset that I can't leave multiple reactions on this: "thanks;" " "haha" and "loves"
  5. Some of the most athletic guys I've ever seen were members of the Russian Greco squad in the 90s. I remember Dan Chandler saying to me "if those guys grew up in the US, they'd be playing shortstop for the Dodgers."
  6. Really? You've measured these physical tests from all three athletes? How can you be so sure that Garrett jumps better than Vito?
  7. Ramazan went to high school in the US, as did Yaraslau, and McNeil. Maybe a couple others.
  8. A training partner of mine was a perennial Greco national team member throughout the 90s. He had a similar document on his fridge, so I knew it was the same 30 years ago. Wasn't sure if it changed. He also had everyone's phone numbers (from both styles0 on his fridge. I'm somewhat amazed that my idiot buddies didn't prank call some of the 80s and 90s legends after having a few barley sodas on a Saturday night.
  9. Jimmy literally linked to Flo insta in the OP. This is a strong indication that Flo posted first, from my understanding of how things work in the space-time continuum.
  10. Guess Brooks should have made the decision to go 92 kg. Instead he chose 86, knowing exactly where Taylor was going to be and how they stack up. That's on him and his coaches.
  11. Umm... It was a Flo post that sparked conversation in the first place!
  12. I'm interested in the upcoming Desanto match. The last time they wrestled in folk, Daton wwrestled with his back to the edge quite a bit, if I remember. Based on how the two seem to be currently trending, I could maybe see Desanto getting over the hump and finally getting a win. I could also easily see Daton getting on top after a far ankle scramble and teching Desanto. Looking forward to a good match.
  13. Helps to maintain or even build strength when dropping weight. May increase fat loss. Prevents muscle wasting.
  14. What would possibly make you say that Nashon has more "God-given talent" than Vito? Vito's dad is a world champ, his mom was an Olympian, and he has been more successful in age group events throughout his career.
  15. It is pretty certain his leg attacks haven't improved since he's been off the SARMs.
  16. I've heard it mentioned. I think Olympic year this year.
  17. Trepham beat Pitzer this year in the dual, sending Pitzer back into redshirt. Not saying that Pitzer won't improve tremendously, perhaps at a faster rate than Trepham, but the NC State match was enough for Gavin to slam the brakes on their plans for him.
  18. Bo Nickal said his high school room had a podium and they used to make getting up on the 1st place spot a part of practice.
