  1. He needs matches. MFF to Ayala counts as a match for Ayala, not for him.
  2. It was the time anyone named Nevills, Beard, and Verkleeren were run off the team.
  3. It's been speculated that he said "This is what he wanted!"
  4. Did he? Or does Minnow say this? However a MFF is one match less that he needs to wrestle. That's the point.
  5. I listen to Basch. There is some interesting content. He is clearly a paid hater, literally, but at least doesn't try to hide it. Minnow pretends he's the paid hater that Brands was talking about lol
  6. Lee needs the matches in case stuff goes bad before or after Big 10.
  7. I would think so. I know that if I ref one, I get my pay for doing a match!
  8. Does anyone have a copy of the post where the minnow "retired" latest year?
  9. I feel as if the esteemed Mr. Bryant was referring to "Mr. Pat Mineo"
  10. Definitely related. I had a great great club coach. He said that he never saw a good wrestler burnout from wrestling, because wrestling is fun; they burnout from weight cuts. I am not a fan of matside weigh ins, but I do not know what the actual solution is. I think the current certification system in place could work, but teams and individuals find loopholes, grey areas, and weaknesses in the rules and exploit them. I understand they are trying to win, and weight cuts aren't as bad as the past, but the sport is clearly not following the spirit of the rules when it comes to weight loss.
  11. I think there is a chance that limiting the number of high level matches wrestled over the course of a career may hinder some of our wrestlers development. Yes, there may be less weight cutting and burnout, but a lot of learning takes place in matches. This is probably more true with the younger, untested guys. But the catch is, they probably need some matches against the studs to get maximum learning; those studs are resting.
  12. No. I meant "make 133." Vito and Glory are two different wrestlers.
  13. Glory feels the 133 lbers are too big to mess with, while at the same time being unable to cut enough to make 133.
  14. Thanks for your acknowledgement. And I meant MMA champs in general (Woodley UFC, Chandler Bellator, Askren Bellator/ONE)
  15. Please re-read. I said Eierman was a better college wrestler than Chandler and Woodley. Tuesday at 9:53 and Tuesday at 9:55. You think they were better as college wrestlers? You are entitled to your opinion. If you think I am backtracking, you are wrong.
  16. I definitely agree with this. I coaches two high school kids against two future UFC stars. One lost to a future champ 3-2, the other had a one point win over a guy who got as high as #2 in the rankings and had some legendary fights.
  17. I agree with almost everything you said. My original issue was the number of people who were saying Eierman would suck because they didn't like him, mostly because he went to Iowa.
  18. I was referring to two of their three MMA champs: Chandler and Woodley. (Certainly not Askren). Eierman is a better college wrestler than the two. Will he be better at MMA? Unlikely. but it is tough to know unless nhe tries.
