  1. Tom Ryan was nearly on that list.
  2. Before. Which isn't really a good argument. A dub is a dub, but a criteria dub on someone who isn't even close to 86 KG isn't really a brag to be have.
  3. From a marketing standpoint, what you are calling the WAC might be the P12. Oregon State and Washington State want to keep the Pac12 functioning and in order as a Power 5. They are going to do whatever they can to do that over the course of the next two years... unless the B12 invites them in as a merger (of sorts). I do think the Mountain West would be willing to bite whatever bullet they are not currently biting to do so, if it meant being included as a Power 5 conference still.
  4. MAC and SoCON both would make sense for Morgan State, from a georgraphical standpoint. From a logistics, I am thinking SoCON makes a bit more sense. I also would like to see the MAC get one more school, somehow, to make an even 14. I had dove in to it at 3:00 AM some time ago and I do think some of the EIWA schools share a conference with some of the MAC affiliate schools in other conferences. I might be dreaming here. It was a while ago I was looking at this, so it might be wishful thinking. Actually looking back at it now (briefly) it looks like Bellarmine and App State are affiliate members for other sports, so perhaps Bellarmine to MAC looks a good fit to get to 14.
  5. I am curious what sort of agreement Air Force and Wyoming are obligated to due to the Pac12(OSUW/WSU) and the MWest agreement. It would be nice/cool to see them grab them to make it back to six schools. In order for them to get AQ they need to get those two at the very least.
  6. He had a long frame. He was a scrawny 74 KG, much like Arujau at 57 KG. He needed 86 KG more than 86 KG needed him.
  7. I might have bit had you not followed up with LRA as the immediate destination. A 'WOW, Mesenbrink in to the portal!' with a 'discuss' would have been apt.
  8. I want these two to swap weights. I want to see Hensen give MFS a go long-term. I don't think 65 KG is an option for him, then.
  9. I seent it! I seent it with my own eyes!
  10. Honestly don't know. Mum has been the word. His public appearances have been minimal as well so we can't see his current state. He is a shell at 65 KG compared to 70 KG... so 74 KG is wishful thinking. That said... here is who is out to the bottom side semi-finals (picture attached to show format of last OTT)... Arujau at 57 KG (or 65 KG) Retherford at 74 KG (or 65 KG) Valencia at 86 KG (or 97 KG) 57 KG and 65 KG will be full, proper brackets with the finalist making the following say Best of Three. Meaning if Arujau and Retherford would need to only win one match to make the best of three. 74 KG, 86 KG, 97 KG, and 125 KG have a returning medalist sitting out to the Best of Three. Meaning Valencia and Retherford (if he goes 74 KG) will have to win two to make the following day's best of three finals. Now that I am thinking the method to make the best of three finals, I am thinking 65 KG makes more sense... I still want him in at 74 KG.
  11. Rethorford is sitting in the bottom semi-finals as well.
  12. Aye that is a big oof on their part.
  13. All fair points. I concede. Also said it was SVN to lose, so no problem losing this one.
  14. Our current #1 97 KG won three straight titles ay 285lbs... even beating the guy that manned the 125 KG (275.5lb) weight class for us for ~5 years when he (Snyder) was a Soph and the aforementioned Gwiazdowski was a Senior and two time defending champion. Being a large 97 KG is not a death knell.
  15. The guy who has dominated everyone on the entire planet 79.1-86 KG for the last 5+ years is going to suddenly be dominated? You going to bet the house on that one?
  16. Any chance we see Harman head down to 165lbs? A lineup like this might be their best, assuming Redshirts redshirt... 165 - Harman 174 - O'Toole 184 - Whiting/Hawkes 197 - Whiting/Hawkes 285 - Elam
  17. If Kasak redshirts, then no real point to the discussion other than saying the ole 'Iron Sharpens Iron' metaphor. It would be wild, but we could see a Haines redshirt as well, or in lieu of, with SVN heading up to 157lbs. They both had comparable seasons. Quite a few fringe losses then turned it on for NCAAs. To answer your question, though? I don't know. I would lean to 'No' though. Edit: Actually your question was 'any chance' so I change to a yes.
  18. Rumor is Salazar, if he comes back, will head down to 174lbs.
  19. Oh my. You are definitely taking it personal.
  20. You seem to be taking this personal, bud. Probably shouldn't.
  21. Well he entered the portal... That is all the list is for. That column under 'Transfering To' will remain empty so long as he doesn't commit to a different institution.
