  1. The struggle is real, man.
  2. He has a year. I hope he is.
  3. I just remember watching him against Caliendo and thinking they were at least a weight class apart. If Caliendo can go 157 I see no reason as to why he couldn't.
  4. Or 165 with Amine to 174. Mantanona to 157 then?
  5. He lost to Feldman or Carroll did he not?
  6. I hope he stays. You guys have been gutted the last few years and that sucks to see. Eggum qualifying all ten still this year goes to show the depth and coaching ability him and his staff has up there
  7. Saw some pretty reputable gents talk about how Amos was going to do whatever he could to get out of Wiscy for next year.
  8. I don't think he does either. Just throwing out ideas, really. They might not even be realistic options. Trying to get the Mizzou gents in the lineup and keep redshirts intact.
  9. Caliendo is very lean, yet massive... similar to Deakin it seems. He was lighter than every Iowa 157lber at the beginning of the season for Alphas.
  10. Nobody dwarfed him. The guy is massive. He might be shorter, but there wasn't a thicker 184lber on the mat with him at any point this year aside for perhaps Stewart...
  11. Figs faced more formerly #1 ranked wrestlers at P12s than he would have at B12s. If Schultzy had faced Pindrickson in the semi-finals at B12s he could have beat him. Styles make matches and he wasn't going to do to Schultzy what he did to Elam. Teemer at B12s? Who is beating him? Parco? Prior to NCAAs nobody is picking anybody but him at B12s either.
  12. Salazar is massive for 184lbs. I don't see how he goes down. Minny has been unfortunate in the portal the last few years. I think you guys might lose him that route, if he goes again. I think McEnelly is going to have the spot next year. The kid is special.
  13. How does this one look for VT? 125 - Flynn 133 - Ventresca 141 - Latona 149 - Church 157 - Henson 165 - Hipolito 174 - Wolak 184 - Stewart 197 - Sasso 285 - Catka Not really thinking Mullen beats out Catka while focusing on Football. Crook to redshirt. VT has some insanely good true frosh coming in as well.
  14. This is exactly what I am saying as well. Him, Caliendo, and Arnold will may 165-184 next season. He may be the odd man out up at 184lbs, but he will give 100% of himself to make sure he is the starter.
  15. I think Harman heads out for his senior year and goes 174lbs next year. I think Whiting/Hawkes will man 184/197 and Elam with either redshirt of go HWT outright. Elam has Olympic aspirations and his Olympic weight is going to be 97 KG. With the success that Bastida had at HWT (Elam is 5W-2L against him), I think we will see some larger/longer 197lbers make the ascension up.
  16. Personalized shoe line that was already out there... just new color(s) or some shit. So... not news news.
  17. His head alone weights 70 KG. Was he going to be a MODOK or something?
  18. You are correct, my thinking was backwards. I also think he did win Pan Ams after he got 2nd. That said, he beat Cruz for gold or something, so that isn't/wasn't saying much (at the time). Each time he has gone 61 KG he has lost to guys he wouldn't lose to at 57 KG, though, and the ranking series tournaments he has been to are at 57 KG +2. So he hasn't really made 57 KG too much and he is on the wrong side of 30 KG to be taking breaks like that.
  19. I don't think it is similar to Mark Hall. Hall could not make 74 KG at all, ever, and be functional. He knew that and knows that. Fix is a 57 KG guy. He knows that. Two different understandings to the game.
  20. He hasn't successfully made 57 KG in years, since he won his Worlds title. Even at the tournaments he has entered overseas they were either with a +2 KG (which is ~4.5lbs) or at 61 KG (which he has had zero - yes zero - success). I don't think he is done, I just understand where they are coming from. My opinion on the matter is based off his past, whereas other's opinions are based off his body of work since his title. Both sides have merit, but only one gets weaker as more time passes (mine).
  21. Pletcher had tree trunks for a bottom half. 141lbs was better suited for him once he grew than 133lbs.
  22. I am simply here to entertain. 90% of the time I fail all the time.
  23. Sasso recently said one of his legs is still royally fckd.
