  1. I am not going through the 46 dozen tweets I read the last week to tell you that. It was Twitter. I follow damn near everybody except Minnow because his weak ass blocked me. Edit: This sounded harsh. It was not meant to be: My apologies.
  2. Honestly Iowa has, more or less, cemented itself as the heel because of certain fanatics and trolls. What keeps on NOT happening is them fading off in to the background. For some stupid reason people have a hard time accepting that Iowa is here and is going to be here as long as there is college wrestling to talk about. Even if they stood pat and did NOTHING, they were competing for 2nd place. They didn't stand pat. They picked up a 149lber for the next three years and even if they didn't get much else in the TP, they absolutely were a key piece during the entire process. Why? Because it's Iowa. They lost possibly the GOAT 125lber ever, had injury not derailed him. As far as peak performance ever? Spencer Lee is the greatest 125lber NCAA D1 wrestling has ever seen. Period. Who did they get to replace him? Ayala. Another contender. Bet your ass he is contending. Teske and Woods are back. They may have lost Murin, but VV will be contending right where Murin left off, maybe a small step back. Siebrecht, Kennedy, Brands, Assad, and Cassioppi all back. They only actually lost one potential point scoring weight in 197. One! Yet they're not going to contend? That's a joke. Even I, the 3rd largest UofM fan on this board know that Iowa is still favored over Michigan right now. That is the way it should be, too.
  3. Aye. Even I was like "WHO DAFUQ IS TYPING THIS SHIT?" when I read what you were quoting and then I was like...
  4. This made me hungry. It isn't supper time yet.
  5. Some people here would have had you believing that it was a good, Golden move in which absolutely nothing could have possibly gone wrong with. They legitimately didn't even need to step foot on campus (let alone be accepted as students) to do that. Just the word of them going there did enough to tear the damn house down. That tells you just how much better the culture that John Smith was (and is) making over at OSU. Took a year and a half rather than a week and a half.
  6. Thinking JB would go to Iowa is laughable. He is very loyal to Manning and Nebraska. He would take that job or one close to home (Philly/NJ area) long before Iowa.
  7. They do need a 157lber for a season while Swiderski redshirts.
  8. Again... if yourself or your son were put in to a hostile environment with someone who has pending 'potential' charges for gun related threats against them would you not protect you and/or your offspring? This isn't even adding in the fact that he was actively driving up and down their road while issuing the supposed threats. You are choosing a very stupid hill to die on, especially since that Focus brother likely wasn't seeing any starting time in the lineup any time soon. I mean.. didn't he choose to not wrestle his last year in high school because he couldn't beat the guy in the starting lineup and he didn't want to go up or down? This is the guy you are defending? Edit: ADDITIONALLY... he (Anthony) didn't even get accepted in to Iowa. He didn't meet criteria to be allowed in to a school that PD3 was allowed in to FFS. Do yourself a flavor or three and get over that clown.
  9. Never heard of mind bottling. Even google corrects it to mind boggling and then tells me I should correct you because you are my friend.
  10. Also, you gents are being extremely hard on TN wrestling if you think #28 Nationally is bad. Unless you are purposely trolling.
  11. I don't think it is an overreaction. Did not one of the Focus brothers drive by a former teammates house repeatedly after threatening to shoot him? Genuine life well-being is not an overreaction. You need to just stop.
  12. Yes. The younger brother. I would love to see Derek at UofM as a Grad Transfer for his senior season. Him at 165 and Amine at 174. Which is also the reason I want to see Amine at 174 this coming season (on top of him putting a whooping on Stalrocci).
  13. Giggled? I laughed so hard I sharted in a conference call with some rather high up UK gvmnt officials.
  14. The correlation I hate using, but seems apt save for one or two things is Peyton Omania of Michigan State. Omania isn't nearly as athletic or good at the fundamentals of Greco nor Folkstyle as Joel Adams. He does have hips like Demas, though, which always gave him a puncher's chance. Adams isn't going to need a puncher's chance with the coaching staff and resources at UofM. There are several high schools in their area with better rooms than Michigan State FTSOF.
  15. I don't think he can go 149. This said, a depleted version of him is much better than Mayora (all due respects). Mayora could contend for a MAC title in 2025 or 2026. He'll never contend in the B1G. I would prefer Kim up at 149 and he would be drastically undersized. Also, Michigan has two prospects that are 2-3 years younger in Mantanona and Gilcher coming in with another (slightly smaller) Mantanona comping in the following year. Add in that Joel Adams will be a factor in a year (or two depending on how he manages Oly-shirt and Redshirt and Gap year stuffs), and I don't know if Chittum would even have a seat at the table. We have seen consistent improvement from the Mantanonas and Gilcher and Adams and they are younger. Chittum seems to have plateaued off after he bumped up from 145 to 160 and beat Valencia. I do wish him the best. Nobody deserves the toxic effect that is the Focus family. That said, this is his second college he committed to without wrestling a minute, proper, in their singlet(s). Perhaps it isn't just the Iowa or Minnesota cultures and his personal code isn't of a well enough standard to succeed at the D1 level, which is fine - let him focus Freestyle and wrestle for CKWC.
  16. Sorry, Bud. I did want to see what Chittum could do at 157 for your squad. Hopefully the part on him leaving is incorrect. For morale purposes, your squad is better off without the Focus family.
  17. Being as 52 of those 50 tweets have been deleted, I challenge you to prove it...
  18. He has spent a lot of time with Pantaleo. Pantaleo speaks very highly of him.
  19. VV is a great get for Iowa. Pretty stoked to see his potential there. Interesting with all the Focus drama at OSU and another OSU kid going from OSU to Iowa. Bags or was the Focus drama latgely exaggerated or finger pointing in the wrong direction? Meaning: Was Mastro the Turdbiscuit that was in the wrong for banging Focus's GF or sister or whoever TF it was?
  20. At 125 KG? Because there is an actual procedure, he would have been asked after Dom. Parris was not on the National Team last year. Dom was. Would I have preferred to see Parris? Yes. Do I understand he had a chance to earn the chance to go and chose not to attempt it? Also yes.
