  1. They probably have a decent chance scoring more than Iowa did
  2. You don’t think Lugo was taking top 4? Like you said, he had beaten 2 seed O’Connor and split with 3 seed Sasso. He also had beaten 6 seed Lewallen, 7 seed Lee, and 8 seed Degen after having lost to him the previous year. I think he was a safe bet for the top 5. And what do you have against Mitch Finesilver? He was top 4 in 2019…
  3. If we’re talking specific to transfer improvement though, all PSU has in its favor is Dean winning a title in a wide open weight and then finishing 7th the next year. How Nagao and Truax do at NCAA’s this year will give us some more data of course.
  4. I guess the PSU bias pays off with 3 HVI posters predicting the correct score, and 3 others only 1 PSU point off. Our closest were @Dogbone and @MLB9 who both were 1 PSU point off and had 28-6, and then @Eagle26, @Barracuda141 and @Pinnacle who were 2 PSU points off. Rathjen only got 7 winner votes. @Wrestleknownothing did anyone get all 10 winners correct?
  5. As I mentioned, I believe Resilite is the official mat of the Big Ten
  6. Did PSU put Dean “over the top”? He was already a finalist before going there, and then finished 7th the next year. The year he won of course he also benefitted from a series of questionable calls and being in a wide open weight (that was also missing the “reigning, undisputed, defending champion 665 lb deadlift baby”). And if we’re comparing to PSU, Hildebrandt was a 4th place finisher that went 1-2 at PSU. Cory Keener went 1-2 in 2 NCAA tournaments at CMU, then went 1-2 at PSU. Looking back, have there been any other transfers since Bubba Jenkins that have won an NCAA title, other than Max Dean and Nick Suriano (x2)? Winning an NCAA title is hard.
  7. Sorry I should have said the post you originally responded to, not your later one. I just knew that if I mentioned myocarditis within the vicinity of 2021 someone would probably try to blame it on the vax. The vax wasn’t perfect and shouldn’t have been mandated, but it was pretty darn good, so yeah, Operation Warp Speed was certainly a good thing.
  8. The math for why Hill ducking Kerk there made sense has already been explained. Plus he gets the 5 dates so might as well use them. But of course Iowa’s linebackers coach basically said a long time ago that Kueter was planning to start this season
  9. Yeah I doubt it effected Van Dee escaping but I think explains why Ragusin didn’t try attacking at the end
  10. I think he should. How many qualifying spots will the B10 get? Agree. I thought Kerk could’ve been hit a couple different times on top.
  11. The post you were replying to was referencing the fact that Deakin had myocarditis prior to the vax being available to him.
  12. Not sure if he gets paid specifically, but pretty sure they’re the “official mat of the Big Ten” or something. There was one match where he mentioned the name of his contact that worked there.
  13. Just guessing of course for Irish: 125: Pat McKee 133: Ryan Crookham 141: Ryan Sullivan 149: Quinn Kinner 157: Cody Chittum or if he’s not, maybe Peyten Kellar 165: Keegan O’Toole 174: Patrick Kennedy 184: Nate Dugan 197: Levi Hopkins 285: Boone McDermott
  14. They will. Saving a loss for Hill for his RPI and to qualify the spot
  15. Looked like Ragusin may have gotten concussed there on that final sequence
  16. Of course some video game streamer in India will probably also put it on YouTube in a day or 2 also
  17. Hopefully that guy who was responsible for Operation Warp Speed actually wins this time around. It was a great accomplishment, that’s why I’ll probably vote for him again. Weird that many of his supporters aren’t fans of his greatest accomplishment though. Edit: somewhat on the topic of what we were discussing, I do give Basch kudos because he started going on a rant about this topic but actually held himself back thankfully.
  18. I do miss the Inside Trip podcast though. They did like one random podcast last year out of nowhere but then disappeared again
  19. I think they usually put the replays of stuff that was originally on BTN on BTN+ later, right? For example I see PSU vs tOSU and Iowa vs Michigan on there
  20. I just saw this link to a documentary about the University of Nebraska Omaha team being cut after winning D2 NCAA’s randomly posted on Facebook or something. Pretty good
  21. It’s true. You gotta admit he’s often the first to share a lot of breaking news (although it seems like usually other people know they’re just afraid to share it). But he’ll often add a particular detail that ends up being wrong
  22. How do you get that from these photos?
  23. Agreed! I was surprised to hear Deakin apparently had myocarditis earlier in the year when he lost in the semis (so would’ve been before Covid vaxxes were available if anyone was wondering)
  24. Yes, referring to Minnow. He usually gets accurate info, but for some reason often adds speculation that he probably only has about a 30% hit rate on
