  1. Based on the data we have it’s gotta be Andrews based primarily on the win over Tabor. The guys Hutmacher has beaten (3 of which were by decision) have a combined record of 5-37… Ding 0-5 Rosenfeld 1-11 Marinopoulos 1-4 Ruhlman 3-17 Although speaking of bad records, remember when Jack Jessen (who Andrews has a win over this year) qualified for NCAA’s with a 2-10 record? isn’t he 10-9?
  2. Looks like it’s at zero to me, but either way, not egregious. I’m more surprised if they overturned it if it wasn’t the original call.
  3. Seems pretty clear time was out then, no? (Especially “beyond reaction time”…)
  4. This clock couldn’t have been correct on this review right? hat tip to spey for the blog https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/12040856-ncaa-d1-week-14-roundup-just-what-is-control-anyway?utm_medium=socialmedia&utm_source=twitter&utm_term=card.&utm_content=article&utm_campaign=news
  5. Hutmacher struggled against a true freshman 197 from Illinois whose only D1 win thus far was against Bellarmine. Seems unlikely Hutmacher will be a factor and I’m guessing may not even start for the postseason
  6. Rock did NCAA’s last year
  7. I am partial to the ACC announcers Rock Harrison/Shawn Kenney are a great combo Also the guys doing VT/UVA on Friday were funny.
  8. Lol @ Bartlett trying to hold in his laugh while Cael tries to not admit how bad the call was
  9. Also, this might be the best photo I’ve seen so far from this season
  10. I’ve got them at 8, with 5 coming from Glazier 0 through 157 Caliendo 2 Kennedy 0 Riggins 1 Glazier 5 Hill 0
  11. “Dinged up,” supposedly
  12. I guess this can be the ISU vs WVU thread… Was any reason given for no Echemendia against Titus?
  13. I think the ref on Friday was confusing “reaction time” with “continuous movement.” Davis kept moving so for some reason he was considering it all as one “reaction” when clearly it wasn’t. I just skimmed through the match thread on BWI and I am impressed that I did not see one person that actually thought it shouldn’t have been a TD.
  14. Please don’t tell me you like Jeff Byers then. I much prefer Sparks. And if it’s Sparks’ excitement you don’t like, then liking Byers doesn’t make sense as the dude is basically always screaming. I don’t hate it, but I’m surprised at the number of people that think he’s one of the best announcers ever.
  15. What am I missing? This seems like an easy under even if PSU sends out a couple backups. Ayala - 1 or 2 Woods - 0 or 1 Everyone else against the PSU starters - 0 or 1 They’d need 4+ against backups to hit it.
  16. It was close, but I didn’t hate the Bartlett call. I believe that was in fact earned due to neutral danger, so no reaction time required. The debate was moreso whether or not Mendez went over 90 during the count. Also seemed like he had a good chance of finishing if the match wasn’t stopped.
  17. Is Trombley now the starter for NC State? He’s wrestled the first 2 of their ACC duals against Pitt and UNC
  18. At the end of the match Bouzakis walks over to the PSU bench and holds his hand out and kinda moves it side to side for a second waiting to see if anyone will shake it but no one does. But the camera was mostly just on Bouzakis so the PSU guys may have just not been paying attention. They usually only had the camera on the winning wrestler so not sure if any others did, but Rogotzke just went straight to the tOSU bench. I do see that the dual has been uploaded to YouTube if you don’t have BTN.
  19. Eh that’s really just another day at 125. Davis could win it all or he could go 0-2. The B10 could also have 6 or 7 AA’s.
  20. I see what looks to be an arm shaking Davis’s hand at 11:05 in that video. Then Ryan argues with the ref and Davis doesn’t get his hand raised until 11:30
  21. The only rule that changed was getting rid of the hand-touch takedown, where a hand touching from a rear standing position (which this was not) was the only situation where no reaction time was given. There has been no change to the rule for all other takedowns needing to be “beyond reaction time,” even though it seems to be extended this year. I know there have been a few other controversial ones so far this year, but most of the others were debatable , this one was clear as day. Even most PSU fans I’ve seen are saying it should have been a TD, and I have not seen a single non-PSU fan actually defend it.
