  1. I don't think. most people are interpreting his post like you are.... he literally said thanks to the university and had a blast. In terms of nobody caring... I find that hard to believe. The team that picks him up will. I am sure he has made some good friendships there, and they do. Not sure why you are even interpreting the post for anything more than what it actually says.
  2. I feel like I am missing something as well.
  3. Since you are new in town, you may want to scroll your way down the freeway of thread titles.
  4. The hope is that since Bakersfield is self-funded it will hang on since they aren't bothering anyone. Very sad for a state that has a solid high school base. Also sad for what California uses taxes for rather than something positive like wrestling. Maybe the key to add wrestling in California is to add a safe needle space and pooping sidewalk? @flyingcement????
  5. You are killing the next trend.... Greco, Sand and Grappling for all schools.
  6. I don't. see that on my e n d.
  7. Are you on a Commodore 64 or 128?
  8. When a topic is discussed in one thread at decent length....then "someone" shows up late to the party and starts a new thread about it, generating dumb remarks, we need a term for that. Hmmmm......
  9. I'm assuming they knew....and given the improvement that the team made this year with Scott coming in, I would expect most if not all to stay.
  10. He didn't win ... he was pinned in the finals by Brian Borden (Idaho kid ) in the finals. https://www.flowrestling.org/events/12159454-2024-national-collegiate-open/brackets
  11. Cael won 4 individual titles....but didn't win a team title as a wrestler. Still the GOAT. There is no individual title separate from team in basketball.... only stats and subjective awards. You can win the Heisman without being on the championship team.
  12. Yep - agree 100.... He has dropped off, but still very talented. At the time of his commitment he was a top 5. I don't think he will start at PSU ever, so he is making a good decision IMO if he decides to go to Rutgers.
  13. You mean "Golden" gophers... they are not just some of the mill gopher.
  14. Does high hopes mean 2nd?
  15. Nah...I will go with toss-up....In case you haven't noticed A + B = C doesn't always happen in wrestling. Playing the same Price is Right game.... Askey was throttled by Thompson who Wilcox in turn majored a couple weeks later. Same can be said the other way around. Either guy could win on any give day against one another...that's why it's a toss-up. As mentioned, our most glorious wrestlestat has Wilcox winning 9-5.
  16. Rutgers has to have one of the top recruiting classes in the country. Add Gibson and they have 6 top 10 wrestlers and 3 more in the top 25.
  17. Askey and Wilcox are a toss-up. They have nearly identical records against common opponents. In 10 matches against each other it wouldn't surprise me if it was 5-5.
  18. How is he NOT an upgrade to the roster at 165? Who on the roster do you expect to beat Fish out at 165 and qualify for NCAA next year? Why would he come in (and get paid to come in) if it was not already determined that he is going to be starting at 165?
  19. If people are okay with 20 year old true freshman, then they have to be okay with 26 year old finalists.
  20. If Hamiti is going 174 and Thomspon is redshirting, who did you expect to go 165 if Fish did not transfer in?
  21. Sean Harman to Oregon state
  22. Yeah - that has messed me up a couple times too - No need to apologize. I think he will land out East somewhere closer to home. Definitely a good pickup for someone. Was down a little bit on the depth chart and battled some injuries as you seen in the results. Good kid and family.
