  1. So I know it’s early but does anyone know when and where Final X will be located this year? And if it will it be split into two venues like it has been these last few years?
  2. Well I thought Zane wrestled a great match and congrats to him on his win. I was also very impressed with Seth Gross. It seems like he’s really upped his game. Yianni, I think is in a little bit of a rough patch but I think he will break out of it at some point. Al Panteleo wrestled well, I do think that had he stayed on the gas a little more he wouldn’t have been in the situation he found himself in at the end of the bout. Jason Nolf has improved greatly, I think that trip he took to Russian with SnyderMan a couple of years ago helped him immensely. Jordan Burroughs is an all time great and I am not sure if he what the situation was but I am sure that he will be better the next time we see him. Zahid looked very good, but I think his conditioning needs a little bit more. I think that he could have closed his opponent out if his gas tank was a little better. Nate Jackson, nice job. I am beginning to think he might end up being the guy at 92 for us. SnyderMan is SnyderMan. His match was the big match of the night for me. And although it was controlled by him I would have liked to see a couple of more takedowns, but it was a tough match and a great win. Zillmer is a stud but he’s undersized. He is really going to need to get some size on him. Maybe he needs to hang out with SnyderMan in the weight room ( just kidding). Anyway great job at the WC for our men.
  3. Well congrats to our MFS for winning a tough fought scrap against Iran
  4. Anyone have any idea on what is going on with our Greco team? Matt Lindland was let go and they brought in Ivan Ivanov and now I see that he has abruptly resigned. I wonder who can Team USA can bring in to lead this program.
  5. I would rather see him win an Olympic medal. And preferably that medal be Gold.
  6. Congrats to Coach Smith, well deserved in my opinion
  7. Well I know that we didn’t have a World Cup in 2020, and 2021. I also know that in 2019 we didn’t send our number 1 guys, however we were still able to take 3rd place. I know that in 2019 the World Cup was being held in mid March so I don’t know if our number one guys weren’t available or there was something else going on. Anyway I am looking forward to this event and it should be a lot of fun I got lucky and got to go see three World Cups in a row 2014, 2015, and 2016, when they were being held at the Forum in Inglewood, (Los Angeles). I saw a ton of super great matches at those events. One of my favorites was Brent Metcalf coming back to defeat Nasiri (Iran ) after being down a ton. It’s always fun rooting for Team USA, at these events especially when there are large spirited contingents of other fans especially the very vocal Iranians.
  8. Well for the sake of some of these lower tiered teams, hopefully they can have success so they have something to build on and maybe attract some wrestlers that they might not otherwise get. I like to see schools that usually don’t do well, get an AA, or some other type of success so it energizes the program.
  9. Nice job for the Terps. It seems like Coach Clemsen and his staff, have their team moving in the right direction. I get that it’s still early in the season, but I am sure that the team and the fans are excited about these early results.
  10. Well this is a great win for Austin, and this should be a good wake up call for Yianni. So we’ll see how both move forward after today.
  11. I was surprised to see that Morgan McIntosh was back on the mat competing. After college I lost track of him. So I am wondering with J’den vacating 92, do we see Morgan making a run for the Senior team later this year.
  12. So, as I understand it, J’den has committed to going 97. I believe that there is an interview somewhere that he said that he isn’t going to go 92 anymore. So this weight class should see a new guy.
  13. Well this is kind of tough, 57, Gilman is the guy, but is this the year we see Spencer Lee makes his anticipated move to be our rep at 57? At 61, I think that it’ll be Gross vs Fix, again but I think RBY has a decent chance if that’s the direction he wants to go. 65, Yianni. 70, Zain. 74, Dake. 79, JB. 86, DT. 92, ?? Nate Jackson? Kollin Moore? Jacob Cardenas a Silver medalist at U23? 97, SnyderMan. 125, Zillmer? But Parris, Kerkvliet , or Cass could end up being the guy. Aa far as Greco and our Women’s teams go, I will have to look at it more.
  14. Well as far as our 2023 MFS team goes, I think that it’s going to be quite exciting to see who ends up making the team and how they do.
