  1. I believe that Aaron will be our guy in 86, or 92, and who knows maybe even 97 in a few years. This year I think DT makes his final appearance on the US team.
  2. That is true, but Taylor had the frame to grow into. I don’t see that in Fix’s case.
  3. I don’t know who will win at 57, but I think Lee has the best chance if he’s healthy. At 65, wow, I don’t know, maybe Nick Lee, but I do wonder about Alirez. 74, I’m sure KOT will be a huge factor, but I think it’ll be Dake or Nolf.
  4. I think we need a step out, and or push out rule. I also think that we should adopt the shot clock rule like in Freestyle.
  5. Well, although Cael and Penn St. have become a juggernaut that doesn’t seem to have any end in sight. But on the other hand I don’t see anyone else doing much better. And if Gable and the Iowa AD decided to part ways with the Brands Bros., who will they get to replace them. I would say that it was nice to see Little Rock, get 2 AA’s as well as Army & Navy getting a guy on the podium.
  6. So, if Bono is let go, who do you get to replace him? Reader? Someone else? Also I am not familiar with who Wisconsin has in their room and how they are set up financially. Unfortunately it appears to me that the Big 10 is a two tiered conference with teams that are the haves and the others who are the have nots.
  7. Well I believe that Iowa is going to have to have a few great sessions including the blood round to get their guys on the podium. I’m not sure who from Iowa will AA, but at this point I’m thinking that should be their main goal, because I don’t think that they’ll be anywhere near title contention. But if Iowa can come away with a handful of AA’s I think that would be a good deal for them this year.
  8. Is there a video clip of Gilman talking about this?
  9. There’s no finger pointing, everyone just has to realize what a job Cael and company are doing. They have become such a juggernaut that it’s really a race to get blue chippers that aren’t going to PSU for whatever reason.
  10. Well we can only speculate about Pico, obviously he was something special and I have to believe that he would have garnered a couple of World medals. IMO when he went to MMA, it was their gain and our loss.
  11. I say Jordan Burroughs will call it after the Olympic trials, ( if he doesn’t win). But I also think that Dake and Taylor are going to be done as well. Especially if DT wins Gold, he’ll have accomplished basically everything.
  12. Is there an article or video of this?
  13. Congrats to the Little Rock wrestling team. Nice win for them.
  14. Could Kueter, be a future threat at 97kg?
  15. Well I am glad that I got to see Kueter wrestle. Hopefully he gets sharper and conditioned as the season progresses.
  16. I was hoping to see Ben Kueter wrestle
  17. Perhaps, but when you look at Taylor, Dake, and even Burroughs, and the success that they have had with their limited competition, I wonder if the mystery of the SnyderMan isn’t a mystery anymore because of his schedule. I honestly think that at this point Snyder needs some sort of plan to make some adjustments and implements.
  18. Well I hope that Spencer is healthy and ready to go for the Trials in April. I think that this might be his best chance to make an Olympic team.
  19. I agree with finishing his leg attacks better, but I think he’s been vulnerable to the chest lock, if you look at his Olympic finals against Sads, he got chest locked and got behind in that match. With Taz he really got rolled up. I also think he got chest locked in his repechage match at last year’s world. So maybe the best counter to a chest lock is a cleaner shot. But I have to think that there’s additional things he can do.
  20. I agree, I’m worried. I think that Snyder’s match with Taz, has him thinking that he needs to wear his opponent down before unleashing his offense. My thoughts is that he needs to work on his chest lock and leg attack defense, while continuing to be a remorseless attacker. I also wonder if Snyder is now getting reeled in by the younger guys in 97. I believe that Snyder is going to have to make some adjustments and improvements if he’s going to be on the medal stand in Paris.
