    Well if Spencer can get a takedown on RBY I’m pretty sure Spencer will get a turn or two, and basically put the match out of reach.

    Well I heard that he signed a 5 year deal with Hawkeye wrestling club, and yeah I guess if he were to win a Gold in Paris he could call it a career, but I think he sticks around for a while to get another medal/championship and to help Iowa. After that, especially if he wins back to back Golds I’m sure that he will be moving into coaching.

    Well it will depend on the draws our guys get, but I think we can come away with 6 medals.

    Great job from Spencer, I’m glad to see him wrestle without any apparent issues. He did a great job, qualifying. Zain, what an absolute monumental performance from him, very impressive. Congrats to both and I look forward to seeing them Win Golds in Paris, (along with all our other wrestlers).

    Unfortunate for Bey, the guy he faced looked like he had a good game plan and executed it well. It will be interesting to see what Bey does next.

    Well obviously DT would be a dream catch for any school. And if they are able to hire DT, I’m sure that there will be dancing in the streets of Stillwater. But it makes me feel bad for CS.

    Well it will be interesting to see what Gable’s next move will be, does he return to wrestling or does he move on to MMA. I am sure Dana White would love to have him. But it could be that Gable has other plans altogether.

    Well John Smith is an iconic legend as both a wrestler and coach. The sport of wrestling is in a better place because of him. Congrats

    Marcus is really impressive, hopefully he can stay healthy and continue to improve. I look forward to watching him wrestle.

    Metcalf unfortunately didn’t get a World or Olympic medal or title, that would have probably been his crowning achievement in his international career, but he did place at the Worlds toughest tournament, The Yarygin, a couple of times. I do remember a match I saw at the World Cup in Los Angeles ( actually in Inglewood at the Fabulous Forum ), where we were Wrestling against Iran. And Metcalf got tossed a couple of times and had to mount a huge come back to come back and win. One of my favorite Metcalf matches.

    Is it me, or do these brackets look pretty stacked on one side and kind of light on the other. I know someone will point out that it’s the result of the seeding, but still it looks like the aforementioned to me. I know that no matter what, this is going to be an interesting and exciting tournament.

    Well would like to see Spencer make it at 57. 65, is going to be wild and I have no idea who will be the guy. 74, 86, 97, and 125 I think will be Dake, Taylor, Snyder, and Parris. However if Nolf makes it at 74, I think that would be cool.

    Well I think that JB isn’t going to make it to Dake in the finals. I believe that Nolf will be the guy to face Dake. JB may be super focused but Father Time is still going to be a huge factor.

    Well I think College Westling has to be more like Freestyle. Adopt the out/push out and 30 second clock. I think that might be more appealing to the casual fan.

    Well I believe that Aaron is the heir apparent to 86, 92, or maybe even 97, but I think DT has his final Olympic appearance this year. But if Aaron does win the trials, it will be interesting to see him wrestle at the Olympics.

    I used to think that JB would have called it a career after 2020, but obviously he had other ideas. But if JB can’t make the team this year I don’t see him continuing on as a competitor.

    I could be wrong, but I doubt that he (Gable), makes a run.
