  1. It’s too bad Flo’s headquartered in Austin, TX. It’s not like that city is rife with engineering quality out the wazoo with experience across start-up, post start-up, and fully BAU digital organizations.
  2. I can’t get it to load on Brave, Chrome, or Firefox on windows desktop (tried my personal and work laptops). I noticed this has happened since at least the Farrell, but florarena does function as expected on iPhone Chrome mobile for me.
  3. No comments during this time of mourning for a once-great program that was completely tanked in just a few short (very long) seasons.
  4. You realize I said better technician not better wrestler and picked Parris, right? So quit arguing over a nothing-burger by being disingenuous. Hopefully Parris can close the wide technical gap against world-renowned technician Cohlton “Scoreboard” Schultz this March. Its the upper level. Some people are better technicians, others have supreme cardio, others are significantly stronger. It’s all about who can exploit their strengths + mitigate their weaknesses + exploit their opponents. It’s almost like styles make matchups…
  5. He makes some weird mistakes but he’s the one person I would not want to run into come March. If he can put on a consistent 7 minutes for five matches I can very realistically see him going home with the bracket board.
  6. Product ops leader at the largest global company (EBITDA and employees) in my industry. I second this opinion.
  7. We all have our opinions, it’s all good. And my opinion is that Hendrickson has much better technical prowess than Parris, however he cannot keep up with him and additionally will never grow his technical skills to their fullest potential because he chose to enlist. If Parris pins him in 30 seconds then I guess it doesn’t matter.
  8. Parris is not a better technician, but I believe he is a significantly better wrestler. Parris has elite physical intangibles that more than make up for his lack of elite technical prowess. Everyone knows his hi-c is coming. It’s the only move he has. And nearly everyone is incapable of stopping it.
  9. Elam will have to win in feet because Dean will rack up 2:00 of RT when Elam goes down for his 1
  10. I think Hendrickson, who has height and weight but not necessarily top-end strength, has significantly better technique but Parris is a mountain.
  11. Day one thoughts: DeAugostino looked like he may have pulled his groin. Depending on severity he could be out a couple months and that stinks if so. Vito looks very good but not world beater surprisingly. I honestly thought he would have racked up over 40 points on day one. Mattin going down was an upset but… not super surprising? Kharchla wtf? Keck doing Keck things. The bag of magic Pinto beans ends tomorrow morning. Excited for the finals tomorrow and hopefully Hidlay is more engaged than last March. Hoffman and Sloan doing Hoffman and Sloan tournament things. I thought Norfleet was going to win this weekend but 197 blew up. I can’t believe Schultz lost. I sent Nevills a thank-you basket to his hotel room that would make Derek Jeter jealous. Schultz and Orndorff deserve to meet each other in the backside and the winner can be the new Greco coach. I’m very excited? intrigued? for Hendrickson vs Parris. Hendrickson has such better technique but he’s going to get horsed around the mat methinks.
  12. oh no you did NOT just accuse me of being a Texas guy. Those are fighting words sir! Just for that, Schultz over Parris.
  13. Listen here @Ban Basketball aka NJDan. I don’t need or want you throwing me likes. You’re only here because you make me the second dumbest member of this forum. While I appreciate that you are the Boone’s Farm to my Franzia for self-preservation purposes, that doesn’t mean we are going to do business together.
  14. It’s a destination tourney for the families attending (that is the theory, not necessarily the reality). Plus if I remember correctly from a couple decades ago the original benefactor wanted to spread wrestling out west but that could very well just be an urban legend in my brain.
  15. It's not a duck if you sweep the Pac-3 to lock up the #1 seed in March. It's strategery.
  16. I just want to know what happened in the interim between the spring portal closing in May and making the decision now? Either way he was going to have to use a redshirt but this was certainly less than perfect timing. Is he set to graduate in a few weeks and attending a grad school program that does not begin until August?
  17. Warner has beat Buchanan the last two seasons at NCAAs so I don't think Iowa would be the right fit when they could go after other recruits with that NIL money? Places he would not go is much easier: Penn State and Iowa for sure off the list, probably not ISU because he is 50/50 with Bastida so Dresser wouldn't bring him in same goes for Lehigh, and I doubt Mizzou would kick Elam to the curb even though Buchanan is now superior. Anywhere else he is a guaranteed upgrade.
  18. @ILLINIWrestlingBlog hypothetically speaking, what NILs are available for a 2x AA interested in moving back to the midwest and how long until Braunagel can get back to 184?
  19. I forget if teams can send two competitors at a couple weights if they are not in RS? Do you think we see both UM 125s if they are allowed?
  20. Let's assume it's a close match, like 3-1 and Dean has :42 RT. If Beard doesn't win the flip and has to choose in the third do you think he is going down or is he staying on his feet in that scenario? What if it is a one point match or tied up and Dean doesn't have RT? What if Beard has a lead and *does* have a RT point - do you think he stays on feet if the score is 3-3 and he has 1:01 of RT? I know it's not likely but this is a really intriguing matchup that I hope for us fans plays out like a chess match.
  21. Prop bet: Dean O/U riding time +1:59 and I’ll take the over
  22. Did you try repenting harder? Maybe an extra hail mary for Montini's sake? [no clue if Providence and Montini are still powerhouses lol]
  23. To add to her legend, when she competed there were only two classes in IL and the Glenbard North sectional (the tournament that defines state qualifiers in IL) consistently would have all three qualifiers place at state + one/two would typically place at Fargo. Absolute meat grinder hotbed of talent - this was the same small geographic area that Bormet based Overtime out of to give context. And Caitlyn Chase took it to those boys to become the first female state qualifier long before separate tournaments existed.
