  1. Off the top of my head in addition to those you listed I can think of Jacob Warner, Thomas Penola, Lucas Davison, both Elam brothers, Truax, Christian Carrol (incoming), Pete Christiansen (will possibly never make a varsity start at Wisconsin). Anthony Cassar, Jacob Kasper, Ty Walz, and Derek White are other recent high success contemporaries
  2. Reminds me of Bo Nickal shit talking without the Gorrarian dominance
  3. 126-135-144-155-164-175-190-203-214-285 If the tweeners don't like it then they can just cut harder or lift more. That's what the tweeners of today are always told. Sincerely, Too big for 197 / too small for 285 who is tired of hearing "no 220er competes after HS" like yeah no shit it's because there is no point except for the blue chip elite so why waste the few precious years of my youth. If you give opportunities you would be shocked to see increased results.
  4. I swear to god whoever calls Waste Management and gets this thread shut down, just when we are FINALLY hitting our stride all the way down on page 6 is going to meet up behind the monkey bars after school
  5. The simple solution (on paper) is to blow up the NCAA and pursue the sports academy route used most notably in Euro football. A person focuses either on academics or sport. If sport, they receive $ and can fully focus their efforts on sport. If academics, they fully focus their efforts on upper/secondary school. There is no overlap, there is no redshirt, there is only the chosen focus. Death to the NCAA... but it may mean death to ours and many other olympic sports if it comes to fruition.
  6. Carl met a professor at PSU teaching a weird offshoot of common core math. It's a really weird concept where the premise is that 5 champs is worth more points than 10 qualifiers. I don't understand it either and when I tried to help my kid with his homework the teacher gave me an F Also, Carl has a really good 125. He just happened to exhaust his NCAA eligibility at Iowa.
  7. You came out guns blazing and said "Most kids are getting at least a year of college credits while in HS if not two." If that were the case then shouldn't most college students only spend two years obtaining their bachelors degree? That was my absurdist take and I find my premise valid.
  8. Sometimes people change their major and that requires more time based on the current structure of higher education. I was student teaching and realized that wasn't my career path, and not all credits I had earned to that point counted towards my much more generic business degree. Also, not every kid takes a freshman year's worth of AP classes, much less "most" - that is a patently absurd take.
  9. Shh just let me enjoy this. It’s been a very long fall from grace. and yes you are very correct.
  10. Early signature win sticking returning AA Hoffman
  11. Kendall Coleman is going to break the Purdue streak this year
  12. Glad you're here to double the number of Illini fans on the board and glad to see you getting more exposure. Pretty sure you're the only person that still posts on IM besides Tamillow when he gets weird. I hope this place has South Park fans
  13. Carr 9-4 and I would gladly partake with anyone who would like to have a friendly wager who thinks Carr doesn't cover and hit the over from @FD1W lines
  14. They lost Copass to Purdue, but do you see Amos beating out Christensen? He would be the starter at so many other schools and it's awesome he chose the path he wanted but it's a real shame we didn't get to see him compete 4 years.
  15. hey @Spladle08 glad to see you here. One thing that always bothered me was a particular thread where you harassed me nonstop and made it REALLY uncomfortable. Let's not do that again because you're cool and that was super weird considering same team and such. Anyways, see you at the cookout this summer #iykyk
  16. "I can't tell you, just trust me." Right up there with "My girlfriend is from Canada, you wouldn't know her."
  17. Well spill the beans instead of hiding behind veiled walls or no one will take your counter-argument as valid. What were "they" doing?
  18. I think if Zahid went on this quest he would not try to gain. I think, in this unlikely hypothetical, that he would pull a Dake'16 and go to WTT (and worlds if he wins the spot) at his walking weight which is probably low to mid 190s at most. He was still a 79 as late as 2019 and obviously thought that he was significantly undersized/overpowered if he did not give it a go at 92 at last year's WTT to try to take out Cox.
  19. Do you think Zahid gets weird and attempts to bump up to 92 with the goal of getting a bye to 86 semis at OTT a year later? I don't see it working out even if he wins the spot, but it is an intriguing thought exercise if for no other reason than it is the offseason and silly ideas are best discussed at this time of year.
  20. He had no problem leaving SDSU to go to Wisconsin after recruiting tons of student-athletes and promising the parents of those student-athletes that he would do right by them. That doesn't even bring up his well-documented past of, shall we say, really shady and petty crap.
  21. That I'm taking Carr *to cover and hammering the over
  22. I did not join this forum just to watch you let those twat waffles off the hook!
