  1. Ugh… yes he did. Why can’t they be normal and good wrestlers? They’d be so popular and respected if they just weren’t shit for brains….
  2. I’d like to see AJ forgotten about and let his younger brothers make their own path, at Iowa like they currently are. and see if it’s possible they are less douchey.
  3. Is this a joke? Everything I know about them points to the exact opposite….
  4. Mine as well- both complete dry. Keeping/making a program that way takes incredibly diligent recruiting and seems to be paying off for NC state and George Mason is on the rise. Wrestling is about discipline, I know it’s never going to happen but I would love to see all programs commit to being drug and alcohol free.
  5. Poor AJ Ferrari, everyone is against him for no reason. Leave AJ alone….
  6. I’ve never understood why Ivy League schools aren’t a hothead for sports with minimal pro aspirations. 99.99% of wrestlers, runners, gymnasts, swimmers, etc. are not going to a pro league or getting a shoe deal or whatever to be involved in the sport as a career. Why would they not go to the best possible school in America, be a student athlete (well respected), leave with minimal debt, and then make 100k 1 month out of college.
  7. To continue on this, imagine winning a bracket with Fix, Suriano, Lee, etc. and then having to Go win a 16 man bracket full of the winners amongst winners. This is my first Olympics as a “real” fan and I cannot wait!
  8. One more last chance I believe. He also may already be qualified for one reason or another. I have trouble keeping up, I just enjoy the iterative and increasingly insane brackets the Olympic cycle has been producing to make the team.
  9. If you played chess for just a little bit you would recognize that it’s Algebraic chess notation, which is a fancy way of saying “where the pieces move” I play chess but by all metrics am below average for chess players.
  10. This started a tangent in another thread. Are there any programs confirmed dry? George Mason coach Frank Beasley confirmed they were dry in this interview: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bloodround-wrestling-podcast/id1061271793?i=1000639163563
  11. I tried to find out from a friend, but they didn’t take a visit there. I honestly don’t know any rumors, but I wouldn’t be surprised either way.
  12. Whether you drink or not, I don’t care. But most coaches would think drinking hurts athletic performance. But to your questions the ‘right person’ for George Mason is someone who doesn’t drink so they don’t have to kick them off the team. If they recruited people that drank aka “the wrong person” they would have to kick a lot of people off the team. Not kicking people off the team is a good thing, so people you don’t have to kickoff is good.
  13. I forget where I heard it, but that is what I heard. George mason is zero tolerance so I believe you’re done if you get caught (they are upfront about it in recruiting which helps attract the right people). I think 100% of coaches want a dry program but it’s easier said than done. Purdue was dry in season, which I assume is the case at most any school.
  14. I know okie state and George Mason are dry. Probably others, so not technically 99% but there are very view that are dry. (I bet and hope that becomes the norm; there’s plenty of drinking to do when you’re don’t competing)
  15. I’m all for showmanship/arrogance/ swagger whatever you want to call it, to a degree…. Spanking a grown man is just weird though.
  16. Additionally, this isn’t about the kids being touched. That is an entirely other Fuc*ed up issue. Women in revealing clothes don’t deserve to be raped but they do expect to be sexualized to a degree. Same as we would expect a pedo to do to an exposed child. If you’re not willing to take this step/advocate for it to make children less revealed you are complacent.
  17. There are going to be sick people everywhere, but giving them a free pass to look at children in revealing clothing isn’t helping.
  18. It’s so simple, quit making our sport so easy to sexualize and make fun of….
  19. It should take exactly one instance of something like this occurring for every state governing body to begin to phase out the singlet. No HS boy wants their junk on display to their friends and family. Anyone that is a “purist” and takes issue to combat shorts and compression shirt should be shown these allegations, videos from these creeps, and if they are still against it should be considered complacent and enablers to children’s sexual exploitation. Simple as that. Could phase them out in 2 years if there was anyone in charge with half a brain.
