  1. Vito Arujau probably has the easiest? Mostly due to himself. He looked head and shoulders above the competition last year. Keegan O'Toole probably has the toughest. Not that the whole road itself is hard, just that last mile. The one with the David Carr adopt-a-highway sign. Carter Starocci seems a pretty safe bet too. Unless...see KOT. Aaron Brooks moves up a weight, but I just don't see him being challenged very much at the tournament. Sure he is prone to lose the odd dual. But, that is just it, odd.
  2. Looks like he may need help from Democrats. After Emmer won the nomination 117 - 97 over Johnson the caucus held a roll call vote on Emmer and more than 20 members said they would not vote for him on the floor. Could be posturing. Could be a negotiating tactic. Could be real.
  3. And Emmer is the third nominee. Not sure if they will have the full House vote today.
  4. I would like to take this opportunity to point out that you should have capitalized the c in cut.
  5. Trump's legal team filed new arguments last night in the Washington federal election obstruction case. Presidential Immunity - conduct fell within "outer perimeter" of presidential duties. Selective Prosecution - politically motivated selective and vindictive. First Amendment - attempt to criminalize core political speech and advocacy Impeachment Acquittal - case violates separation of powers and double jeopardy. Due Process - could not be on notice that his conduct was potentially criminal because people challenge election results all the time. Invalid Conspiracy - defining what he did as deceit or trickery would criminalize vast swaths of citizenry. Obstruction Law -urging government officials to take certain actions didn't obstruct or impede their duties. Civil Rights - exercising his own right to contest does not violate others' rights.
  6. I don't doubt it. I feel like that is a hollow threat, though. I just can't see a former president and current candidate being put in jail for contempt. That is more my belief in legal realism than any strict reading of the law.
  7. That too will never happen. The fines would just keep growing. Maybe house arrest. Maybe confiscate electronics. But, never in jail for contempt/violating gag order.
  8. I sure did. But, you conveniently ignore everything else I said. Play number 47 from the Ban playbook. Right after play 46, if someone responds, claim they are obsessed with me.
  9. I usually wait until the first of November for this, but will be traveling a bit before then so here goes. As always I invite anyone to add to the list. This is just the stuff I remember. For the second year in a row we have the chance to see two more four timers. And hopefully, this time we will. Pat Smith, Cael Sanderson, Kyle Dake, Logan Steiber, Yianni Diakomihalis, and.... Aaron Brooks goes for title number four. If he gets it where does he rank among the all-time greats? What about among the all-time greats at PSU? Before you answer that question remember that Carter Starocci is also going for his fourth this year (maybe on his way to five?). Keegan O'Toole's drive for four is still intact as well with two in the bag (along with a runner-up) and two to go if he wants to use all his years. I think O'Toole is the only one who has a shot at their third this year. OSU ended ASU's four year rule over the PAC12 (4? 2? 0?). Can they take the final (?) title in conference history? NC State ruled the roost in the ACC for the sixth straight year. Can they make it lucky number seven? Over in the SoCon App State ended Campbell's five year run at the top. Can they start a streak of their own? Cornell is looking for their fourth consecutive EIWA title. Missouri took their second consecutive Big12 title, can they make it three (and lucky thirteenth in a row across all conferences)? Lock Haven looks to lock up their third MAC title in a row. Vito Arujau has a chance to climb into the top 50 all-time NCAA tournament scorers. Sitting at 55 points he would need 23.5 points to make it into a tie for number 50 on the list.
  10. @D3 for LU @nhs67 thank you gentlemen. I feel like I am in Albania.
  11. None of that defines a recession. Ban Basketball, often in error, never in doubt. "Ha, jokes on you. Why is no one else laughing, ma'am? They just don't get my genius. Hmmm, no one gets my genius, does that mean I am not...nah, that can't be right. Boy, I crack myself up sometimes. Wait, is the joke on me? Haha, jokes on you."
  12. And then there were eight. Meuser dropped out of the Speaker race tonight.
  13. Incorrect. Only the NBER recognizes a 2020 recession and in their view it only lasted 2 months, ending in April 2020. So Trump led himself out of his own mini recession.
  14. And when he breaks out the non-mysoginistic use of ma'am. Trust him, he told me the joke is on us.
  15. I have written 3,127 posts. Given your writings, it does not at all surprise me that you put rape apology as 3,128th on your list of disgusting things. Though it saddens me immeasurably. Get help.
