    Starocci is getting tired, Mesenbrink got ridden by that tOSU kid, bartlett isn't as good at getting bonus points as david taylor, the true freshmen are complete trash by historical standards.....all I know for sure is that this team is obviously smoking A LOT of weed!

    really? should have checked, just remembered zain x2 Taylor 2x and Nickal... At the least I hope you would understand if I said the rampant success of the program doesn't do as well as an underdog hodge narrative.

    yeah its hard to blame someone who unintentionally benefits from their excellent reputation...

    yeah but I like him so didn't mind that much.... Hall got a Valencia TD turned into a one point headgear pull in his favor, and his TD in the finals was actually a Jordan TD (imho) that the ref waited too long on, thus turning Halls reversal in a TD. Sorry i know thats a terrible description.

    I've still got PTSD from Mark Halls title run....probably bias' me everytime PSU has a call go there way.

    Starocci's claim is way weaker than it was at the start of the season. He's missed matches, looked tired in a few matches, and his reputation coupled with him whining about not getting it last year isn't gonna break in his favor. If Hidlay did beat Brooks, he'd be a dominant champ who went up a weight and won a senior level international tournment in the middle of the season...thats a pretty good story, additionally Starocci will be unfairly hampered by how often PSU wrestlers get the hodge...

    They definitely "get" more calls than they get screwed on. Reputation is a thing, but I think they also good cop bad cop the ref. Cunningham is sort of abusive and cael is mute, when its challenge time the deity in the corner politely asks the ref something, ref feels all fuzzy....better tactic than having two clones going nuts...

    No offence but I was surprised when I first saw it announced, then he decides PSU is the place for him all along. Both are legit decisions, its just kind of hard to imagine what changed.

    I'm sure someone else has said it but....MAN THE REF WAS WAY QUICK ON THOSE TDs on DAVIS! Haven't they heard of reaction time?

    that one was kind of weird, you can see why bono was pissed, but if you're the ref you can't just call a TD because the optics are bad...

    you can see why people are down on wisconsin, they had such a solid lineup with a sprinkling of studs, but as those guys graduated they just weren't be replaced....

    I remember years ago Brands did an interview where he said "we're trying to win NCAAs every year, I know everyone is but who really is." Hard to say that philosophy, or "we're gonna put our best team on the mat" is intact currently.
