  1. Ragusin has to get thru Latona, Shawver Fix to get to the finals. WOW. Latona could also be a bracket buster, although he hasn't wrestled as well as the guy that lost to Mendez in tiebreaker last year.
  2. Stanich might have to beat DeAugustino, Camacho, and Ayala to make the finals- BRUTAL
  3. so is DeAug v Smith, Barnett v Jordan and Surtin-Poulin!
  4. I like Ayala's chances better than Stanich. Camacho is going to be a gatekeeper for Stanich. I can see a semi of Noto-Davis and other side Camacho-Ayala. Might we get 12 Noto against 7 Camacho in the finals? I'm leaning towards Camacho over Davis in the finals...
  5. Figueroa stole the 8 seed. DeAugustino feels seeded very badly at 18. McKee 9 Barnett 10 feels totally way offbase. I know there are rules to this thing but jeez. McKee had a much better season than Barnett and it doesn't show here- nor do DeAug 2 wins versus Ayala. Provo at 14 feels like a reach too. Big 10 was punished too hard. Noto was shafted with the 12.
  6. Similar to Micic with the 4, 2, 3, R12. To Micic's credit he was weaker than 15 year old Davis while wrestling at 141. Rivera made the bump to 141 look cleaner than Micic. Micic in year 7 didn't possess the old man strength that comes with drinking from a bad water bottle.
  7. Similar to: Megaludis 2,2,3,1 Cory Clark 5,2,2,1 Meredith 2,4,2 Sasso 2,5,2
  8. Thanks, I had forgotten about Cass. That makes more sense now with Ayala and Cass holding down spots.
  9. Since everything here is about Iowa/Penn State I'll add one question: how is Michigan doing at developing talent? I ask because they appear to have nailed being the destination of choice for an All American to xfer in and load up the lineup. Kudos to them for having that reputation there. Is it something about their RTC/Olympic prep or is it just good vibes and trust in Bormet getting them to dominate the portal? That said, what does it say about Michigan that good-not great guys like DeAugustino can come in and swipe a roster spot when you got guys like Beard having to leave Penn State cuz Max Dean is gonna come take his spot at 197. Penn State is clearly levels ahead. I want to know about the battle between Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, and Oklahoma State at developing and retaining talent. Why is Davison coming to Michigan over Iowa? Why is Cannon coming for a crowded Ragusin spot over battling Teske at Iowa? Maybe it was a team decision to transfer into Michigan as a group to a better academic university.
  10. Some trivia here...which 2 125 # qualifiers have identical records against their common opponents, very similar match margins against their common opponents AND found the exact same opponent challenging?
  11. I commented that Lewan was going to wreck some brackets if his seed stayed above 8 and people thought he would fizzle out. This guy doesn't fizzle. He has like a 77% win rate in overtime in over 30 matches. His style is boring but he's hard to beat. He seemed a bit peeved and said he had haters in the interview. That made me chuckle! I wonder if others at his weight hate the dude.
  12. he was like keep wrestling youre getting killed out there lol
  13. Barnett and Zargo have been stunted under his leadership. How many others could have been better
  14. Yeah that may be it. Ramos can get stunted in his offense by many. Ayala can only be shut down by a couple guys like DAgs. McKee can outmuscle almost everyone and stop their finesse. Barnett can roll around with many but gets sloppy and caught by the best. It’s a wild bunch out there.
  15. I’m catching up on matches still but wow what a tournament so far. Some excellent quarterfinals and semis! Saw The Eagles play last night. I thought I was going to be sad to miss all the wrestling but they put on as good a show as Big 10s!
  16. I think with how close margins are seeding will matter, yea. Placing poorly at big 10 could hurt majorly.
  17. With all the assaults to the rankings that are going to happen at Big 10s and 12s I think it elevates Noto, Flynn, and Stanich's chances
  18. I wonder what he could have done had he managed 125 weight his entire career
  19. 15 and 10 Baker from Cornell gave Conigliaro his second loss in round 2 of EIWA 174 tourney.

  22. McGee was fast as lightning in this match and has a nice double.
  23. Haha I was just saying we are all going to be on different pages if we nominate dark horse candidates without criteria! As for the talking to the laptop screens I meant that we have these passionate discussions over the internet which are enjoyable. With some clarification about the dark horses this can be a great conversation also!
