  1. I think only 133 too. ?He's a better option than Matthews but has a 1-2 record and has only wrestled 133.
  2. Huge underdogs. Steen was a top recruit. Charles Matthews was not. Steen has a Big 10 win. No Iowa reserve has a Div 1 win, that I am aware of.
  3. Explain how Iowa does better in the dual with Lee at 133? Both of their backup 125s are huge underdogs to PSU's Steen.
  4. I have heard that he gained a bit of muscle mass being unable to wrestle and got up to 137 or so. Not sure what he walks around at now. He was definitely gassed in his first couple matches back this season. Some of that could have been the weight cut.
  5. "Bussin' With the Boys" 9/22/2021 at about the 1:19:57 mark. Q: Ever see any crazy weight cuts? Lee: "Me! In 2016 I wrestled at 110 lbs... I weighed about 130, so I had to lose about 20lbs. Took me like six months. I shrunk my body..."
  6. I think he said he was 130 ish. Said he has basically around the same walking around weight through high school and most of college. Even if he said 125 ish, its still almost a 15 % drop for a small, lean human. Pretty significant.
  7. He dropped about 20. He said as much in a podcast, I think the barstool one.
  8. I personally have Iowa winning a close one, only because I feel the particular Iowa wrestler's personal history makes him a slight favorite in a number of individual matches. I have Iowa winning close at 141, 149, 165, 285; and that is only because I picked Iowa to win close ones in those bouts. In reality, if asked to pick a winner without picking ten bouts, I would say PSU. I can see Iowa winning any of those four bouts. I can't see them winning ALL of them., and they need them all.
  9. TBH Dean (Class of 2016) is likely at least 25. 26 may be a possibility.
  10. PSU fans enjoy getting their digs in at how "old" Iowa teams have been. This current crop of PSU "kids" aren't going to be young if they finish their eligibility!
  11. That's a lot of asterisks! Current top guys: 125 Lee 24 * 133 RBY 24 * 141 AlLIREZ (Class of 2019) ? 149 Yianni 23* 157 Robb Class of 2018? 165 O'TOOLE 21 174 Starocci was 22 over the summer ??? Wonder when his birthday is? 184 Brooks 23 197 Dean Class of 1987***** 285 Mason Parris 23** So of the #1s only O'Toole will be definitely be under 23 by this years nationals. Maybe Robb (but probably not), maybe Starocci, maybe Alirez. It isn't going to get much better in the next couple of years. Then we have the crop of 17 year old high school freshmen coming up in a few years, too.
  12. Probably Jordan Conaway, Josh Rodriguez, and Jane Valencia.
  13. He couldn't have been that raw. He is from a top program that has produced multiple studs. Didn't he also start his first year at PSU?
  14. It worked out for him, certainly. However, it looks almost like criminal neglect of a child. He will be 24 on Saturday! Happy Birthday RBY!
  15. Facebook birthdate? Do you think he logs into meta daily? Do you think facebook or wiki are accurate? I'm only 99 in mine! He was several years too old when he won juniors. Yes, that doesn't matter when you win men's, but still very scummy. To Karelin's credit, he wants to end Russia's age group cheating. BTW Yianni is on record that Vito told him that the guy he wrestled in cadet finals was like 20. Supposedly Vito was training at the guys club in Russia and found this out. This was very common.
  16. Sad is the best wrestler on the planet and maybe the best ever. But he was like 22 when he won juniors. Not to mention the state sponsored mandated doping.
  17. My biggest issue is that so many people call "duck" and will for this match, too. Do you agree?
  18. C) Struggled with Ragusin. D) He ain't beating Lee at 125 E) He wouldn't beat Lee at the catchweight of 129 either.
  19. "specializes?" I saw it against DeSanto, whom you likely made fun of and claimed was exagerating. Haven't seen him do anything different or exotic. Just wrestled. Have you ever wrestled?
  20. Exactly. The same as thinking Lee would bump. (Except that RBY was allegedly training and planning to enter the mix at 57 kg a couple years back) Get ready for the "Lee ducked!" posts this coming weekend.
  21. Le Duke: In the multiple other threads about this, I said that there’s no way in hell TnT are throwing their golden boy out there to get his knee destroyed by RBY. Think about it. A guy that didn’t give up a single offensive point to Desanto or Fix in 8 total matches against the two of them in the last two years. Who specializes in grabbing the foot or ankle of his opponent after mashing their face into the mat. With what I’m guessing is 6” of wingspan advantage and is likely the fastest person in the NCAA, and not weak. Best I can do! After all, I was born in 1755! You got very graphically into the details there! Very exciting, I'm sure. That's just one example of multiple. You are really into posting about Lee getting injured! How about RBY dropping? Good day, Sir!
