Bastida will have earned it if he wins... this is his potential path VS McDermott (Oregon State) VS Trephan (NC State), Nevills(Maryland) VS Davison (Michigan), Ghadiali (Campbell, Catka (Virginia Tech) VS Hendrickson (Air Force), Gordon (Northern Iowa), Griess (Navy), Feldman (the Ohio State), Fernandez (Cornell)

A different weight class, but it was a weight that was less than 165lbs...
-
I said in a perfect world. Injuries exist, period. Vito is out because of such a thing and has been since that match. As I said... there isn't a soul on this planet that is or could be wrestling NCAA collegiate Folkstyle wrestling this year that would beat a healthy Sta(l)rocci.
-
Did you miss this part... ...or this part... ?

If preseeds hold to seeds, these are my possibly not-not maybe but probably isn't bias semi-finals and finals 125 SF - Volk over Ramos, DeAugustino over Kaylor F - DeAugustino over Volk 133 SF - Fix over Chlebov, Frost over Orine F - Fix over Frost 141 SF - Echemendia over Lemley, Mendez over Cornella F - Echemendia over Mendez 149 SF - Swiderski over Arrington, Lamer over Parco F - Lamer over Swiderski 157 SF - Lewan over Robb, Shapiro over Gallagher F - Lewan over Shapiro 165 SF - Carr over Ramirez, Amine over Olejnik F - Amine over Carr 174 SF - Griffith over Wittlake, Kharchla over Gaitan F - Griffith over Kharchla 184 SF - Keckeisen over Plott, Foca over Munoz F - Foca over Keckeisen 197 SF - Sloan over Smith, Hidlay over Allred F - Hidlay over Sloan 285 SF - Hendrickson over Fernandes, Davison over Bastida F - Davison over Hendrickson DISCLAIMER: These are not my actual predictions... some are most aren't - those will wait until I see the actual brackets.
-
I don't have Henson making the semi-finals, if these seeds stay true.
-
In a perfect world, meaning no injuries - there is zero chance Arnold beats Sta(l)rocci this year at 174lbs in NCAA Collegiate Folkstyle wrestling.
-
Everyone here doesn't think he will have that success at 157. If you look legitimately what... four posts before yours I also elude to the same thing.
-
I rescind my original question about PK. He is an Iowa guy. I don't see him not making a go for 157 next season. If, for whatever reason Arnold does go at 174 this year, I think him wrestling 184 is still a no-brainer, then 157 for next season.
-
Yeah it would be.
-
Does anyone know what he weighed in at the Cy-Hawk at? If it was the full 174lbs, the soonest he could wrestle 165 would be 12/24/23 and the soonest he could wrestle 157 would be 1/14/24. We don't know what a PK down at 157 looks like. It could be something like Paddy Gallagher, where we expect him to win a shit tonne of matches, but he just might not function as well at that weight as he does/would at 165lbs.
-
What are the odds that Kennedy hits the transfer portal? I know he is and has been an IOWA guy, but the lineup isn't looking too friendly to him. 149/157 - Voinovich, Focus, Block, Seibrecht 165 - Caliendo 174 - Arnold 184 - Focus 197 - Focus 285 - Kueter Where does he fit in?
-
At least he should be.
-
He is better than that.
-
Jealousy does not befit him.
-
A punk is a punk.
-
Hepner is listed in the Preseeds? Edit: Ah, I see it! Sucks.
-
No Cannon is definitely true. Rogers could be unseeded. Not sure. These are Preseeds, not entries.

Flo and Intermat have it... 1 - Haines 2 - Franek 3 - Robb 4 - Teemer The Open Mat has it... 1 - Haines 2 - Franek 3 - Robb 4 - Mauller 5 - Andonian 6 - Teemer The Wrestling Report has it... 1 - Haines 2 - Franek 3 - Robb 4 - Andonian 5 - Lewan 6 - Mauller 7 - Teemer While I don't think Teemer should be above Andonian or Lewan, I also don't see why Mauller is above Teemer either. He went 4-2 at 157lbs the same season Teemer took 6th. What has he done at 157 to be ranked above the aforementioned gents? Rankings don't matter, but here is what I would have... 1 - Haines 2 - Franek 3 - Robb 4 - Andonian 5 - Lewan 6 - Teemer 7 - Mauller

This doesn't really do it justice... some of these weights are legitimately seeded through 18...

Over/Under on Ferraris in Iowa's lineup for B10's: 1.5

He was at the Open shortly after his title. He was basically on his knees the whole time against the actual Italian Stallion Ben Honis. Much can be implied there. -

Does Focus go HWT or 197? Glazier is a better option than Hill. -
Cook is on his last year of eligibility now... would make sense.
