  1. Don't forget the shelling your heavy just put on Schultz.
  2. Not true. They started at the same time, with the Consi of 4 running on three mats and the semi-finals on two. The Consi of 4 are about done and the semifinals have half the weights to go.
  3. Also, these guys wrestling the semi-finals will have considerably less rest time than the guys in the Consi of 4. Doesn't seem fair.
  4. Obviously you did not watch the match - obviously.
  5. Shelled? What the deuce does it even mean? You are citing a 6-4 loss in the natty finals in March of 2019 at the weight below as reasoning for last night's loss?
  6. Shelled him twice? Keck beat an injured Hidlay in OT a few minutes after Hidlay had also lost to Brooks in OT at NCAAs last year - when Keck was also well rested.
  7. I imagine it runs with the semifinals. I didn't catch that - good catch.
  8. I cringe when Kerk throws the legs in. With no ACL he has to rely on his muscle and positioning to keep his leg in proper anatomical location. It worries me every time.
  9. Wouldn't that be something? Wasn't he also he late bloomer? Meaning he wasn't a heavy until his senior year in high school?
  10. If Parris pins him in 0:30 then it is likely that the one or two moves that were performed in the entire match were executed with a much better technique by Parris than Hendrickson.
  11. Hendrickson is a phenomenal technician, don't get me wrong. He is also an elite athlete - with insane speed for a heavy. That helps a lot.
  12. Unless he took a progressional leap, his skill is being greatly exaggerated. He also wins due to speed and athletic prowess as much as technique. He wouldn't have gone in to NCAAs undefeated and then lost to Orndorff and Lance last season if his skill was so much superior.

60 KG isn't a Freestyle weight, it is a Greco weight.
  14. Hendrickson would not be as successful at HWT as he has been the last couple of years if he did not have the strength, or power, to compete with the strong boys. Meaning, if (when) he loses to Parris it isn't going to only be because Parris is brutally more powerful. He is also a more complete collegiate wrestler - which includes skill level.
  15. Figs knew the plan for this yeat was Courtney unless he beat him out. If Courtney gets the not at PAC12s it will be safe to assume he did not beat him out. Figs chose ASU because he trusted them to make him a collegiate and freestyle champion. You think he will have lost that faith after one season of eligibility because they also made another wrestler better too? Doubtful. He knew this before the season started.
  16. And both scores to Nevills were 5-2.
  17. Sorry. If it is any consolation, D'Emilio put a helluva ride on Mattin. So disappointing.
  18. Holy crap. That was a helluva round of wrestling.
  19. So AJ Nevills is 2-0 against Schultz with both scores being via a 5-2 Decision.
