  1. Wait a second... you usually say something snarky about heading to OSUW, so insert them, too? Jokes aside we saw a lot of 'free' transfers the last few years. A lot of those allowances are gone, aren't they? Like now if you want to transfer B1G to B1G the coaches can block it - forcing a one year sit (I think this goes in to effect as of now, not previously like with douchebag Bono)? Also, a second transfer means sitting a year too? How is the P12 for transfers within the same conference?
  2. Well that disappoints me even more as a wrestling fan! As an American, I wish him all the success this world has to offer. Everything we all hold dear we owe to young men like him that came before him. The safety and freedom if my posterity depends on him being the best. I am okay with that.
  3. Guy would have three years left, yeah? If this was a deferred year he could also still redshirt too.
  4. The writing on the wall says that he should be able to, but he did say he would never see 65 KG again. That is still another 6lbs lighter than 149, but one has to wonder where his Freestyle aspirations are and if they are Olympic Gold Medals, then 157 makes more sense if he is 'never' making 65 KG again. Also, dropping 6lbs is much different than maintaining striking distance of 149lbs for an entire season
  5. Does Chittum entering U20 at 70 KG cement him in at 157 or 149 for college? Asking opinions here.
  6. I mean... I am also pipe-dreaming him to UofM at 125 as well... so...
  7. Ragusin, who is not known for size or strength, manhandled him and dwarfed him. I don't think he bulked up.
  8. That is why I hinged it on him making a decision based on injury. Four options: 1 - He turns down the 92 KG Final X bid. He is hurt and chances it at 97 KG. If he wins (wrestlers win hurt all the time) then he has until June 10th to heal up for Snyder. No chance at 92 KG this route. If he loses at the Open he can either heal up or try for WTT at 92 KG or 125 KG. 2 - He turns down the 92 KG bid and takes the season off and does not wrestle any weight at the Open or Trials. 3 - He accepts the bid for 92 KG. This gives him an additional ~6-ish weeks to prepare for whoever wins the US Open. 4 - He accepts the bid for 92 KG. He requests a continuation which would likely allow him another month or two to heal. If his injury is more than minor but less than severe, he may go the 92 KG route.
  9. You're telling me a ~ 5'3", 120lbs 'Jesuroga' is going to be able to fireman carry 6'4", 225lb 'Keuter' for 400 meter run as easily as vice versa? That is a load of bollocks. Unless they pair them up by size and not randomly (which they pair up randomly in ~ '84/85) for team/partner drills. Which is an even greater load of bollocks if so. I have no doubt that NCAA D1 wrestling is more difficult, physically. He isn't a D1 wrestler, though. He was a D1 recruit. Weight classes exist for a reason, mate. Physically there will be some big things he will.br at a serious disadvantage at.
  10. I heard Minnow said that it is a package deal. Bouzakis and Decatur to Iowa for Ybarra and Spencer's two left knees.
  11. There goes your 141lber @MPhillips. Decatur is in the portal.
  12. This year. Won his first match then Inj Def out back in January. I forget which tournament but it was one of the ones that Pantaleo won.
  13. Some of these lists are just capital 'S' Stoopid. Retherford the best 141lber? Guy placed 5th the only year he wrestled 141. Dake is the best 141lber? He won the NCAA tournament but he wasn't even the best 141lber in his conference that year. Snyder the best 197lber? He got decked in the finals the only year he wrestled 197lbs. Yianni the best 149lber? Are you talking his Junior season version, because he lost this year.
  14. Well if he is not okay I would expect him to accept the Final X bid. Being a returning medalist he can request and extension to the Final X wrestleoff.
  15. Cael Valencia looks like he is still carrying a good amount of baby fat. It makes me think he might be better suited for 165. My International styles inner-fiend has me wishing he would fill out to at least 184 so we could see him go 86 KG for Mexico, since Middle Valencia (Zahid) seems okay being a JV guy the next couple of years.
  16. He is smaller than DeAuggie and both were at 125 when they started their careers. Let him go 125 and bring home (to Michigan) some high placing hardware.
  17. Cox wasn't entered when I posted that. I was only going off who was entered. He still isn't entered fwiw.
  18. He also has ties to Michigan. Micic, former Northwestern kid went there. Kennedy also trained at CKWC after going there in collegr, too.
  19. They could take all three of their left testicles, put the together, and that'll give them the ballsiest 133lber since Brands competed there. It'll also end the Focus line, so win-win-win.
  20. When DT and Ruth wrestled it showed me that Ruth couldn't handle elite scrambling. Askren would wipe the floor with him.
  21. So Iowa will have Teske, Schriever, Canon, and Bouzalis at 133 next year? Cool beans.
