  1. Gross tends to give up points in bunches and can be exploited by guys who have a serious speed advantage on him. Against a guy who scores early and often it will cost him. It did at worlds last year and it would against Arujau.
  2. Sorry to interrupt gents... Senior Men Freestyle Freestyle 79 kg Max Rohskopf Talk about a blast from the past... https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/13645/rohskopf-max/profile https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/168728-max-rohskopf I watched his last fight and was like 'Wait. No way.' He pinned Michigan's Brian Murphy at the All Star Classic after dropping down to 157. Unfortunately his senior season was cut short.
  3. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhush. Also, I am ignorant as to the actual proof shown by App State. Educate me?
  4. I am super stoked to see what he does there.
  5. Burden of proof... innocent until said proof of burden is established with no reasonable doubt. US Justice System, mate - yeah?
  6. The lone benefit for Kerk in Freestyle is he can't get called for stalling on bottom. Having no knee ligaments will always make injury a concern.
  7. So for Men's Freestyle I would say these guys are the current favorites w/ who is currently listed as entered... 57 KG - Nicky Skeletor That puts it as Gillman VS Suriano at Final X 61 KG - Seth Gross He would sit out awaiting the winner of the 61 KG WTT 65 KG - Ian Parker That puts it as Diakomihalis VS Parker at Final X 70 KG - Hayden Hidlay That would put it as Retherford VS Hidlay at Final X 74 KG - Vincenzo Joseph That would put it as Dake VS Joseph at Final X 79 KG - Muhamed McBryde That would put it as Burroughs VS McBryde at Final X 86 KG - Zahid Valencia That would out it as Taylor VS Valencia at Final X 92 KG - Nate Jackson He would sit out awaiting the winner of the 92 KG WTT 97 KG - Isaac Trumble That would put it as Snyder VS Trumble at Final X 125 KG - Hayden Zillmer He would sit out awaiting the winner of the 125 KG WTT I expect registration to pick up soon. I also expect a lot of people to misunderstand requirements this year and we hear a lot of background noise of 'Oh I didn't know there was no WTT this year for my weight!'
  8. I am not sure you ever have to state you're using it - if you met the requisites you can apply it aptly.
  9. I think I found you on twitter.
  10. He could likely use one as a redshirt and one as a medical - if there were any lingering issues in either 2019 or 2020 right? That means that he could have 'up to' two (2) years left right? Recruiting over him might not sit well with Uncle Tony. That guy gives me 'free money' vibes whenever I watch him. Meaning he seems like a guy who is willing to pay his nephew's way and then some. Not booster money, but the kind where if he strikes up a convo with one of the other kids and he likes the convo he'll just slip off one of his $40k rolex watches, hand it to him, and say 'Fuhgeddaboudit' while walking away with an awkward eyelid twitch while he makes direct eye contact with the samen 'said' kid.
  11. To me he gives me Quinn Kinner/Rocky Jordan vibes. Good enough to contend for mid-AA if they go the right weight (141/174, respectively). I believe Kinner should have been 141 this year, to be frank. He loses his length advantage at 149 and gives up a strength to many more than he would have at 141. If he can maintain 133 and get to a MAC/SoCon or to one of the 'lesser' elite P12/B12/EIWA programs (I am talking like Cal Baptist or Northern Colorado or Lock Haven type schools and not calling Stanford or Northern Iowa or Lehigh low rate) he could glide through most of the season rather unchallenged and be less banged up than some of the gents get with the brutal gauntlets that the B1G or other high profile programs tend to grind through.
  12. Questions: - Flynn and Ulrey? Do they transfer out? Lewis? Does he stay 174 or go up/down due to it being an Olympic year (which he could Oly-shirt too, fwiw)?
  13. You are comparing apples and ceiling fans there. Spencer Lee was recovering from double ACL surgery. Steveson has beaten Parris every single time in easier fashion. Parris could beat every other human on the planet - he just wasn't going to beat Steveson. You really need to understand my tendencies as a poster, as a Michigan alumni - former wrestler, and flat-out Parris fanboy-isms to appreciate the level that I put Steveson at. Also, I don't know that this was the best version of Parris. Hopefully we see him at the US Open to know for sure. I still think he was pretty hesitant in a lot of matches - which injury will do. 2020-2021 season Parris had bonus in every match he wrestled - sans Steveson. That includes Cass and Kerk.
  14. Some gents are thinking he doesn't even want to go back next season... maybe there is smoke there? What control would Cael have then?
  15. They also have a guy coming in from Detroit Catholic Central (Same HS as the Gilchers, Amines, Rojas, etc) from Michigan in Drew Heethus. He flies under the radar but has basically only lost to Braeden Davis (Dundee/Penn State - same HS as Swiderski, Buell) and Drew Horwath (Michigan/Davison - same HS as Metcalf, Reader, Facundo, Barr). I believe he even beat Horwath. He went 132 for team purposes and should have no issue being a 125lber if McGowen is going to go 133. I have high hopes that it will be a nice 1-2 punch.
  16. What does reverence have to do with anything as far as match prediction goes? Gable Steveson would have won a Folkstyle wrestling match. Period. Gable would have easily won this year, too. He would be a 3x Hodge winner had he wrestled. Mason Stevesonson would have gotten destroyed.
  17. I think this might end up being a Gable Steveson VS Cael Sanderson final. Steveson probably wins it.
  18. So we should shouldn't penalize someone for trying to fight a guy much worse than him? I think those instances are reasons we need to include sportsmanship. Baylor Fernandez even if he were to go 80-0 next season with 80 pins should absolutely not be considered. If Starocci can't keep his composure and wants to fight Washington, he can take it to the cage. It's embarassing.
  19. Starocci could just try not being a cocky little shit that half his own room doesn't even like for starters, right?
  20. I mean... all champions were finalists. This may be the new standard.
  21. Yes. I believe Negron has a year or two left as well.
