  1. Maybe it is just me, but I try to make the best of everything. Add in that I have been to most of these towns fot competitions and for business purposes and that gives me that much of a leg up on you gents who have not. To me this was right up there with the 2016 MSG Snyder over Gwiazdowski and the 2017 St. Louis Nickal over Dean for my favorites since probably Sanderson winning his 4th. The 11/10 for wrestling more or less overshadows anything else. I didn't get too drunk and was able to attend with both my sons and son-in-law this year. Next time it is in Tulsa y'all need to hit me up because if you're complaining about the food then you aren't doing it right.
  2. Looks like he is going to try and raise his stock... he has entered the US Open.
  3. He isn't. He is bigger than Buckshot... err Canon.
  4. Rumor is that Shane Sparks has him chained up in his mum's basement.
  5. Josh Barr entered at 79 KG (~174.2lbs). If going 184 was the plan for next season at Penn State, then committing to possibly br wrestling the weight class below for the next ~6 months or so might not be the best move? Also interesting is that I believe he gets the #1 seed here. He beat Welsh at Freestyle. Both the match at WNO and PWC were not Freestyle. That means Barr should be opposite Gabe Arnold too.
  6. Deadline for seeding is the 23rd. Deadline to sign up is night before weigh-ins. It is a true weigh-in. Expect a lot of roofers.
  7. Guys hear me out... how does this look for Michigan? 125 - Smith (App State) 133 - Canon (Northwestern) 141 - Ragusin, up from 133 149 - Lamer 157 - Lewan 165 - Amine 174 - Griffith (Stanford) 184 - Truax (Cal Poly) 197 - Woodley (Oklahoma 285 - Slavikouski (Harvard) Do they compete for 2nd? Iowa Dual: 125 - Ayala over Smith via Dec Iowa 3-0 133 - Canon over Teske via Dec Tied 3-3 141 - Woods over Ragusin via Dec Iowa 6-3 149 - Lamer over Rathje via Decision Tied 6-6 157 - Lewan over Chittum via Decision Michigan 9-6 165 - Amine over Kennedy via Decision Michigan 12-6 174 - Griffith over Brands voa Decision Michigan 15-6 184 - Truax over Assad via Major Michigan 19-6 197 - Woodley over Focus via Decision Michigan 22-6 285 - Cassioppi over Slavikouski via Pin Michigan 22-12 (7-3)
  8. Why not Griffith at 174 and Olejnik at 165? I still take Messenbring at 165, though. Also Butler at 149 us better than Fongaro - my opinion. 125 - Smith, Low AA/R12 133 - Cannon, Mid to Low AA 141 - Decatur, Low AA/R12 149 - Buter, R12/R16 157 - DNQ 165 - Olejnik, Low AA/R12 - Messenbrink, Low AA/R12 174 - Griffith, 2nd/3rd 184 - Truax, 1st-3rd 197 - Buchanan, 2nd/3rd 285 - Slavikouski, Low AA/R12 Podium finish peak.
  9. He popped for something severe enough to have his 2022 Worlds Bronze medal taken away but not severe enough to keep him from essentially competing straight away. It was like a 3 month ban that he was already done with by thr time UWW announced it.
  10. Also, Minnow 'reporting' that Truax is visiting Iowa this week, ASU next week, and Penn State the week after.
  11. Oh the one O'Toole tooled up a WNO? He needs to be 149/157.
  12. Moore and Elam in at 92 KG for Freestyle. I think they both beat Jackson. Unsure seeding criteria, but Moore is 2-0 on Jackson the last two years, so I imagone he gets the #1 seed. Hall in at 86 KG. I think that the only 86 KG guy that has a chance to beat Zahid at the Open is Hidlay. Unfortunately for him, he can't beat Mark Hall. Pantaleo in at 70 KG. I imagine he gets the #1 seed? That puts Berger and Hidlay on the opposite side? Good news for Pantaleo for only needing to beat one of them. Glory and Richards in at 57 KG. Arujau, Garrett, and NATO at 61 KG. O'Toole and Gantt at 74 KG. Parris and Gwiazdowski at 125 KG. Lovett, Pletcher, McKenna, Henderson, Saunders in at 65 KG. Labriola, Dieringer, McFadden, Lujan, Kemerer at 79 KG. Cox and Macchiavello at 97 KG. Schultzy in at 130 KG for Greco.
  13. I actually would like to read the medical mumbo jumbo.
  14. I wonder what would have happened had they got the diagnosis correct two days earlier.
  15. Also, also, as a reminder - All they have to do to qualify the weight for Worlds is to weigh in.
  16. Also, Chamizo is already able to compete again - as a reminder. He will be there at 74 KG.
  17. Matt Finesilver at 92 KG is as surprising as seeing the Israeli at 86 KG has a last name of Kalishkanov. I imagine he beat Finesilver out or Finesilver decided too late and they didn't have a 92 KG so they said 'Why not?' I am leaning the latter.
  18. 65 KG Stevan Micic, Serbia - Michigan(133/141) Kizhan Clarke, Germany - North Carolina(141) / American(149) Josh Finesilver, Israel - Duke (141/149) Colin Realbuto, Italy - Northern Iowa ((149) 74 KG Malik Amine, San Marino - Michigan (141/149) Mitch Finesilver, Israel - Duke (149) 86 KG Myles Amine, Sam Marino - Michigan (174/184/197) 92 KG Matt Finesilver, Israel - Michigan(184) / Duke(174) 97 KG Ben Honis, Italy - Cornell(197)
  19. Hepner also was under redshirt and beat the tOSU starter in the wrestleoff this year.
  20. Not a number I am creating. Some prominent university did a study a few years back.
  21. Which Gable are you talking here? Keep in mind that the average person is 6000% less effective at hand to hand combat than they actually think they are.
