If you listen to Cael it sounds like his favorite guy to watch wrestle is SVN , the usually coy Cael gushes over SVN style and potential so if Cael thinks that highly of a dude I lean towards trusting his opinion

Van Ness didn’t have any fringe losses , he lost to 6th year senior Murin 3x , Gomez ,Sasso and yianni and that was after not competing for basically 2 years , he completely controlled the Henson match last year and the Parco matches this season and last Kasak has unlimited potential and had a great but he took Ls to Abas and Rathjen this year , not exactly world beaters , and I don’t think he’s ready to compete with Henson just yet (I know he beat Lovett but as we know Rich was in full semi slide mode)

In my opinion yes , Bonusing guys in college is really hard nevermind at the ncaa tournament against people whose wrestling careers and dreams are on the line

No bc he’s a head coach at a major big 10 school whose been catching more and more heat , it’s a little naive to think he’s doing this for the greater good of the sport when half the fan base is at his ass and for the record scoring bonus in college is really really difficult, so guys should be rewarded more for a pin then a 1-1 OT Lewan style win

No it’s because of the amount of points his team scored with 3 guys making the R12…and yes it would in my opinion make the gap bigger probably more to do with Ty Watters, he scored as many points in the tournament as a guy who wins the whole thing with no bonus , for reference Rutgers won 21 matches at ncaas , WVU won 11 , both had 2 placers (Rutgers 7th,7th plus one R12, WVU had 4th, 7th and only one other guy win a match. both had one guy make the 1/4s then lose and in the end West Virginia finished with 10 more points then Rutgers bc Watters and Hall are bonus point guys , this is the kind of stuff I think Goodale wants changed …overall you would look at Rutgers who had 6 different guys win matches and out 3 in bloodround and think they had a better tournament then WVU yet finished way behind them mostly bc Hall and Watters alone beat Rutgers bc they went bonus crazy on the backside

This is all bc atleast half the fan base wants Goodale gone bc the program is stagnant and finished 20th at ncaas and for not capitalizing on having 2 ncaa champs and a top 10 finish at ncaas a few years back, Two AAs used to have Rutgers fans dancing in the street but now finishing behind schools like WVU they want to see progress ….. Goodale also wants to get rid of team scoring all together at ncaas and just have national duals ..Which is funny bc rutgers hasn’t won a dual they weren’t supposed too since 2015 … can’t succeed in the current system ? Well then let’s just change it

Yea the older Braunagels are on Olympic redshirt and come back for year 7 , the younger braunagel was on a regular redshirt and they have a couple solid recruits coming in and should be much improved next season

Everyone blames the Northwestern drop off on transfer portal stuff but I’ve been yelling from the rooftops for years now it has more to do with the coaching staff getting gutted over Covid vax situation. They lost 2 top level coaches and no disrespect to futrell and Justin Oliver but they haven’t come close to replacing them, Kennedy is one of the main coaches for penn state now and Cael gives him props and compliments in interviews all the time on the work he does . Illinois had a ton of injuries and redshirts to the top returning guys , Byrd who is multiple time AA, Luffman who could have had some success in a thinned out heavyweight group, he has wins over the Campbell AA and quite a few other AAs probably a R12 guy at worst and the Brunagal brothers so a lot of points sitting on the bench last season

Amine said he ll be back next year , i didn’t realize lewan was done , thought he had another year, thank god though no lewan means about 20 less 1-1 OT matches a year

Haines probably can’t make 157 again so either him and messenbrink switch spots because mess only walks around in the 160s or Haines redshirts and Barraclough goes 157. Starocci really hates school I don’t think he comes back and we see facundo at the weight Howard heathy or not idk if he transfers , always seemed like the stick it out no matter what kind of guy , still has 3 years left

This was only his 3rd year in college , he has 2 left and I was told by the most reliable source you can have on the situation that Amos isn’t transferring. Now could that change if reader leaves I suppose but doubtful unless it happens soon i also wouldn’t beat against Amos AAing he was dealing with inj his 1st two seasons and still had wins over a few AAs like Cardenas all that being said Bono sucks and Wisconsin should replace him

Tallmadge beat Stanich in the state finals his senior year and he’s cousins with Santiello from Pitt , kid has a lot of potential

Alvarez would not have lost to Kinner, mostly just a style thing but he would have made it at least one round further

Might be tough, they have Bell coming back and he’s probably going 149 , they like bell a lot , he’s MAC champ and 2x NQ , going to be the captain of the team and they probably feel he has an AA run in him like Kinner
