    Had no idea Brooks Black was fighting , I thought he would be a world beater in college ,I guess injuries really slowed him down though but i definitely will keep a look out for him on the fighting scene

    Strickenberger might be moving up to 133 he’s pretty tall and that cut was really difficult towards the end of the season and maddox has had a losing record all 5 years he’s been in school and has no notable wins and not really any good loses either so no guarantee he sees the line up either way

    He said they have Bo Nickal .. I pointed out they have an American top team gym right in happy valley and like 8 different guys training to fight in some capacity

    Anthony Cassar is also fighting and is undefeated, and I’m pretty sure Nickal is part owner of the American top team gym they built in state college . Kerk, Nolf and Starocci all have expressed desire to go into fighting at some point too so I’d say Illinois will have to battle it out with Penn State for the wrestling Mecca of mma training

    Wrestlestat has 2023 listed as his redshirt at the navy prep school, last season he was listed as an injured RS Freshman so I don’t think he can sit ..maybe Babin didn’t have many options bc I believe he’s a grad student, either way seems Pitts first 3 weight classes will be all NJ guys

    He doesn’t have explosive offense , he had 3/4 loses his senior year at 144 and got completely controlled by a freshman in the state finals , all of those things don’t usually translate to big 10 success, Rutgers has a lot of guys in the room at 141-157 that I don’t think Nini ever beats most of them , and the original poster had Nini starting at 157 in 2025 and if that’s the case it’s a disaster scenario for Rutgers

    Nini is probably never going to be 157 and might never break the lineup , Harer could be a career 157 and Gibson is never going to be a 141 , if he’s beating Peterson or Shawver then one of them would likely just transfer as grad students .None of the 3 are ever going to be 141s unfortunately I could see Oliveri staying 141 and possibly a guy like Fongaro eventually breaking in at 149 or vice versa

    Probably going to be tough to find someone for the job , the school just canceled in person learning for the rest of the year because of safety issues bc of the non stop protests on campus and you definitely aren’t going to be able to recruit any Jewish wrestlers there

    Wisconsin best returning wrestler Amos hurt his shoulder and defaulted out of trials so it has to be pretty serious, he just took an Olympic this year and was among the favorites at the weight so for him to not continue you have to assume the worst . Other then Amos who does Wisconsin have this year ? Maylor and Zargo ? It might get ugly this year for them

    Dake might retire after the Olympics, he’s made it sound like that’s been plan in the past and I always figured this was it for DT , he owns like 3 businesses lives on a farm and has talked about motivation problems since he won in 2021
