  1. Yeah, I can forgive sitting Ungar (since Greg D won), Vito (seems to have something lingering), and Shapiro (likely concussed, although wrestling him earlier in the day kinda defeats the purpose there). But Ramirez seems like a duck to me. I guess it’s possible he got injured in the Pitt match. In reality Grey should not bear the brunt of the criticism here. It’s just a microcosm of the current ducking culture.
  2. It does in the NBA throughout the season, as well as the NFL in the last week or two
  3. Combine this with ignoring Shapiro’s likely concussion, not a great look for the Big Red
  4. The 247 article says he had earned the starting spot at HWT in 2020, but he already lost to Penn’s other guy that year
  5. Not sure about other sports, but this was an excerpt from his Wikipedia page - “After Haselrig's run of NCAA titles, the Division I Wrestling Committee voted to rescind the bids to the Division II and III champions”
  6. Carlton Hasselrig - no more D2/D3 wrestlers in D1 NCAA’s
  7. Is Nahshon Garrett still offering both? On a serious note, are any college teams using it for regular duals? I believe App State tried it last year but are not doing it this year
  8. I beg everyone to please not watch “A Wrestling Christmas Miracle.” I’m usually a sucker for a wrestling movie, but this might be the worst movie I’ve ever seen.
  9. So does today’s match count as the being the second semester or was Flynn enrolled in school during the first semester?
  10. I still don’t buy that. I could see an argument that bumping Allred was better for the team if they didn’t think Andrew’s could win at heavyweight, but again didn’t matter as the dual was clinched
  11. Must say I was surprised to see that result. Good call @flyingcement
  12. Sure but that’s a little picky, although in addition to Ramos both Ungar and Surtin have finished R12. Of his 14 wins last year 10 were national qualifiers. But he shouldn’t have been #1 without wrestling a match until mid-December
  13. App State over UNC https://appstatesports.com/news/2023/12/17/pins-propel-wrestling-to-home-win-over-no-21-unc.aspx
  14. Well there goes his undefeated career record
  15. The dual was already clinched for Nebraska though
  16. Allred seems like a duck, but he had just gotten majored by Sloan at CKLV so the only thing he’d be protecting was his winning percentage. Van Dee would have benefitted more than Cardinal with a win there, but may have been another attempt at protecting winning percentage if they weren’t confident he could win. Wilson could be the starter at 174
  17. He may not care about the forums, but he sure seemed to like complaining about American Greco refs
  18. Will LJB make his return to tell us how American refs are awful?
  19. If he’s actually injured, why wrestle at CKLV?
  20. I guess I should have said…has he improved more than Provo has?
  21. He lost to Provo last year. Has he improved that much?
  22. If Foca had 2 in one season...is it possible he wasn't fully recovered from the first before getting the second?
  23. I thought you were suggesting people in other sports have provided more specifics around NIL deals. I haven’t seen that to be the case, but I don’t follow other sports closely. Can you provide some examples where more specifics for NIL deals (particularly for new recruits and transfers) outside of headline numbers were provided?
