  1. Meh, I thought that at first but it’s really moreso just a lot of parity at 197. Looking at it with the glass half full, all three of the guys that beat him last year (that didn’t graduate) are all on the opposite side (Elam, Trumble and Hoffman).
  2. Thought it was interesting that 8 of the #1 seeds have less than 20 matches
  3. Looks like he’s probably going to need to beat Millner in the second round to AA. If he loses looks like he could have either Mauller or Parco in the blood round. But if he beats Millner his toughest consi match before securing AA is likely Blockhus
  4. Keckeisen beat the guy that beat Brooks, and avenged his only official loss
  5. “the Rider lad” (McKenzie Bell) beat the following guys earning autobids: Carter Young Parker Filius Kal Miller Seth Koleno
  6. Sounds like Olivieri should have wrestled in the Rider dual
  7. Agree, however I think this is the case for other sports like the NFL too... Obviously there are going to be calls that probably could've gone either way. But I feel like I see it often where you have guys saying things like "this was the worst call ever!" when it was really borderline. Obviously aren't going to encourage people to get into officiating doing stuff like that
  8. Never realized that was how it was spelled
  9. No, but unfortunately we weren’t able to find out since he went out of bounds
  10. Yes like I said I’m fairly certain this exact situation happened this year
  11. I think almost this exact situation happened this year and was called no TD, but can’t remember the match. I believe it was Angel Rivera, maybe Iowa
  12. Never had it beyond reaction time while still in the cylinder
  13. Wait you’re serious? I thought you were just trolling Jimmy when you said Robb “never left the cylinder” I agree with no takedown. Didn’t have control in bounds beyond reaction time if you watch it in real time. Reaction time doesn’t happen in slow motion
  14. I believe the answer is no because the wrestler needs to be warned they are in danger
  15. Orine beating both Latona and Phillippi is impressive, although he had already beaten Phillippi earlier this year.
  16. 3/6/21: W 9-0 1/28/22: W 7-2 3/5/22: W 6-4 SV 1/27/23: L 4-1 3/5/23: L 5-0 The trend is not looking good.
  17. I didn’t see everything but don’t remember anything particularly egregious. I think I’d go with Hamiti not getting the pin called against Kharchla
  18. I think Cronin is better than “extremely low” probability, assuming he gets the 3 seed but I’m not sure if he will, it might be Noto. Interestingly Cronin has a common opponent advantage over him, but it’s Heinselman and I don’t think that will count? If Cronin is opposite Lee, then Cassioppi should also be considered “extremely low” probability as I think they’re in a similar boat: arguably the #3 guy at the weight but a distant 3rd. But I’d honestly give Cronin a better shot at beating Glory than Cassioppi at beating either Parris or Kerk.
  19. UVU’s Evan Bockman beats Bastida for 5th at 197
  20. I may be misremembering, but didn’t Ungar live in Nj and commute?
  21. Yeah may have been a legitimate MFF. But Ramos should still get credit for a H2H win there.
