  1. Jones just took the lead over Brands in calling for a stall.
  2. So have the Cornell back-ups He is.... and he started out at Cornell.
  3. Fagan is a pretty decent back-up.... So far that's mostly what we have seen...backups.
  4. up 6-0 in the first 30 against a back-up should result in bonus... not running and getting stall calls in the 3rd.
  5. Wouldn't that be McLravy and Abas? It's one thing to get a fall being down by a lot, but quite another to be down by a lot of points and rally for the decision.
  6. That's a pretty good assessment.... 141 could go either way and I think Cardenas will beat Norfleet. Should be an interesting dual. Is this being streamed somewhere?
  7. It's okay... the ban is only through March.
  8. The first rule about rankings...is to not talk about Flo rankings.
  9. Yes... certain head coaches had to re-strategize how to contact guys that were not in the portal.
  10. Nice work with the derail... that was good. Speaking of derail and "Wikk" .... Although I think he will be fine when it's all said and done, little Wick is not where a lot of people picked him to be at this point. Legend should go down and challenge that spot.
  11. I'm going to out on a limb here as a non-PSU fan and say that if RBY, Starocci and Kerk took a loss in the championship bracket, there would be a high probability they would come back to 3rd. I could see Dean not AA though - that is true. This is the typical yearly , everything could go wrong for PSU and everything could go right with Iowa thought. How often has it happened?
  12. With a 35-40 point pad, Kerk, Dean, RBY and Starocci could all finish 3rd and it would still take Iowa having to overachieve. Two things we know that are pretty consistent for the most part....PSU doesn't underachieve and Iowa doesn't overachieve.
  13. Yep.... it's too bad for smaller programs that they lose these guys... wonder if Little Rockis the next team to lose a guy.
  14. Why should Haas be wrestling that match rather than Wittlake if you say that Haas shouldnt' be the starter yet.?
  15. Are you saying Haas should be starting ahead of Wittlake?
  16. I know Chance Rich is a lot better than he was, and I am a Pac 12 fan, but let's be real here... that should not be a close match.
  17. Don't know... I guess it also depends on what you mean by "used to be" ... guys going back further than what you were thinking had far less matches... at the end of day, I am not really sure I care about the comparison.... Right now 6 months (or close ) is a very long season. I would rather see the season condensed into 4 months or less. IMO we would see less MIA.
  18. I'm not speaking of number of matches... I am speaking of beginning of October to end of March...time wise.... almost 6 months of a season is a long time to stay healthy and not take the opportunity to miss some matches... but that's another thread.
  19. I agree... a lot of toss ups in this dual. Biggest home dual for Oregon State in a long time.
  20. One thing that Smith said, and many others, which is very true: The season is TOO long. If the season was shortened up it might curtail legitimate "ducks" and possibly shut up the people who call every absence a duck...well probably not them.
  21. On the old board there were a few of us that believed Poulin was going to end up being solid....and a majority believing he was just an internet sensation with a mohawk. Looking good so far as a freshman.
  22. There will be a lot of competitive matches - Quite a few matches with ranked wrestlers facing each other. 125 - #13 Kaylor vs #12 Mastro 133 - #16 Shaner vs #2 Fix 141 - #24 Belton vs #28 Carter 165 - #23 Olguin vs #21 Sheets 174 - #28 Olmos vs #4 Plott 184 - #11 Trey Munoz vs #14 Travis Wittlake... Wittlake returning to Oregon for the first time to face Munoz 197- #18 Harvey vs #27 Surber
