    I was surprised at how easily Gomez turned up the heat on Sasso in the 3rd round. Took him down several times with ease it seemed like. O'Toole put any Hamiti upset talk to rest. Kerk was dominant on his feet against big Papa Cass. The Elam-Warner match may have went to OT, but Elam was clearly the better wrestler.

    If you watch the match, aside from the exposure, Lamer scored 3 takedowns to SVN 1 takedown.

    IMO he would be someone who would fall into the 133/134 weight if we were doing an all-time for those weights.

    Claiming a freshman can beat everyone but Yianni generates discussion, and most of it will be disagreement. Not that hard to understand. Feel free to root for you guys - get excited for your guys, but just know that pre-mature hailing of a king does not go well on this board and nor should it. If SVN proves the statement correct, expect this thread to be resurrected from the other side.

    Missouri pulling in a few guys - Mauger a 125 lifer most likely and Sinclair. Cornell looks to be getting a good haul so far for 2024.

    Not exactly true.... every coaching staff has leadership within their team that is shaping the younger and less mature wrestlers. Not saying its' their sole job or that the coaches are out of the picture... but to say that they don't have expectations on upperclassmen to lead by example, push the younger wrestlers and be part of sharping the younger talent, would be false.
