  1. That is so true. I really feel sorry for his wrestlers. Having to cut to one weight class below their optimal weight. That would really suck.
  2. Its especially hard if you are a tweener. If you are a really good 70KG you have to wrestle 74KG now. That is difficult at this level. Smtih would have had to wrestle 149 lb or 68kg back then. I don't think he would have made the team.
  3. There are only 6 Olympic weight classes, which I find absolutely ridiculous. There was a time when the Soviet Union had 5 of the top 10 wrestlers in the world in some of the weight classes. With only one of them qualifying for the Olympics. Now with USSR breaking up and only 6 weight classes there are 5,6or 7 former USSR wrestlers in some of the weight classes. I would think it is harder now to get a medal.
  4. Late edit. A 100K loan for 25 years at 3% interest is 474.00 dollars a month with 42,000 in interest. A 170K loan for 25 years at 3% is 807 a month . Interest would 72,000 dollars.
  5. You are aware that over 250 billion dollars in financial aid is given out each year at the federal level for those who need help. There is another 100 billion dollars given out at the state level for those who need help. I wish someone could explain to me why the loan payments are so far off. If you have a 100K loan for 25 years at 3% interest, you have to pay 809.00 a month. Why are the loans set up to pay only 450 a month? The math doesn't work out. It looks like no one can pay off their loans because the payments are not accurately calculated to be paid off in 25 years. Large amounts of money borrowed on a long-term loan is expensive. Maybe someone should explain that to the students before they take out the loan.
  6. The new tally for the student loan forgiveness !53 Billion dollars. Buying should be illegal. As a private citizen running for president can I go around and offer to pay off car loans or mortgages if you elect me.? Where in the real world can you get an unsecured loan for 120,000 dollars, with no credit, pay (a minimal low amount) on the loan for 25 years? When you got the loan, you had a non-existent credit rating. After 25 years you still owe 70,000 dollars and the bank says we are going forgive your loan and this won't affect your credit. Biden just gave out another 7.4 billion dollars yesterday. Whether Biden wins or loses this will be the most corrupt election ever.
  7. I was relieved to find out that 35 states now require students to take a personal finance course in order to graduate from high school. Now if we could just make it a requirement for ALL Government employees to take a personal finance course. Also take a basic economic course.
  8. I have been reluctant to respond to some of the comments on here. Many of you have different thoughts on this matter. My grandfather served in combat World war 1. My father served in combat in World War 2 and passed away at the age 41 . 5 of my Uncles also served in World War 2 .All of them passed away from Huntington's Korea at he age of 40 to 43. My older brother passed away at the age of 18, 3 weeks after he had enlisted in the Navy. I had 7 cousins who served, most of them in combat. One of them after serving in Vietnam was killed 3 weeks after returning home in a car accident. The driver ran a stop sign. My son and 3 son in laws have served in combat. On was injured with an I.E.D but made it home. 2 are still actively serving. My daughter in-law served in the Army. I'm not telling you what you should do as an American that is your decision. But I for one will stand for the National Anthem with a ( sense of pride and sadness) knowing the sacrifices of these men and women and their families have gone through. Side note. None of these men or women expected recognition or special honors for their service. They are very humble and unassuming. The last 12 words of the National Anthem have a special meaning to me.
  9. Good grief. I wonder how they are able to keep all this data buried. From what we are told you would think the graph would just the opposite.
  10. Its a good opinion. In a time not so long ago most of America felt that way.
  11. Amen to that. There was a time in America when this was the norm. That ship has now sailed.
  12. Are you ok. I will be happy to give you my phone number if you need some help. Just calm down. This is just a discussion.
  13. OK doctor Phil. You are a funny guy. Being you do not know me from Adam you might want to go back to your television show. You seem to have plenty of your own problems to attend to. I hope you feel better soon.
  14. Maybe you should call West Point and talk to Lt. General Steve Gilland and get the information you desire.
  15. I not sure what you mean by taking away a scholarship. I'm advocating for sitting you on the bench. Now if you want to protest on your own time go for it. There is a time and a place for doing certain things. Doing it before or during a game while in uniform and representing your school is neither the time or the place.
  16. You can believe anything you want to believe. Just because someone else does something wrong does not make ok for you to do something wrong. Mulkey has a disrespectful routine for her team of leaving the court when the National Anthem is being played. This is done to avoid the embarrassment of having players kneeling or sitting down during the national Anthem. Which would bring more scrutiny to her program and team. Believe you want. I don't really care.
  17. I am old school. I was bought up to respect my elders. I was brought up to love and respect our country, the flag and our National Anthem and for those who have sacrificed for the freedom and liberty they have afforded me. The Constitution allows for you to disrespectfully protest against the flag, against the National Anthem, against the very people who have afforded you the freedom to protest. I as a Patriotic American find that to be foolish and offensive.
  18. Yes . The player gets to sit on the bench and think about why he or she is sitting there when he or she is the best player on the team. He gets to sit on the bench for as long as it takes to get his brain cells to understand that foolishness will not be tolerated.
  19. I think it is the emperor's new clothes syndrome only the democrats can see it.
  20. Her statement is disingenuous. You are a smart guy and I know you know that.
  21. No excuses all wrestlers stood for the National anthem when it was played and were respectful. No wrestler left the gym or sat down or knelt down. We didn't have or tolerate any of this WOKE GARBAGE.
  22. Your last sentence. You honestly don't believe that? You honestly don't believe she didn't know the National was going to be played at a certain time?
