  1. Right off the bat I assume ASU third is one pec muscle tear ago.
  2. Then your team rankings do not match your indivudual ranks. And what is the team result, but the sum of the individual results?
  3. Then you may want to adjust some of your rankings of their wrestlers.
  4. I fully expect my swimming chops to awe and intimidate anyone who dares challenge.
  5. how about someone who is not even ranked? Jesse Mendez at 133 for anOSU.
  6. What-about-ism at its best. They also use the net present value of contracts with future earnings. Which is how Ye went from being a billionaire to being worth $120 mm overnight without losing a dime from his bank account when Addidas cancelled this contract last week.
  7. I will take the under on both statements of net worth.
  8. Revised projected finishes assuming no changes in weights and Kilic does not start in the top 32:
  9. I thought you liked JB? If JB wrestled the same number of events as Ledecky swims he would have far fewer Olympic medals as he has qualified for a single Olympics while she has qualified for three. And he would have fewer World golds as 86% of her medals are gold, but only 67% of JB's are gold. Or we could flip it around. If she swam a single event she would have 3 Olympic golds in the 800m (2012, 2016, 2020) to JB's 1 Olympic gold (2012). And she would have 5 World golds in 5 attempts (swimming has Worlds in odd years only, except 2021 - they had it in 2022 instead, you know, cuz Covid) to JB's 6 golds in 9 attempts.
  10. Too bad for him. How long is that recovery typically?
  11. dipshittery? twat waffles? The Oxford English Dictionary is going to have a busy year.
  12. I loved his reaction when asked about wrestling elsewhere. The quizzical look was priceless without being combative. He seems to have a very comfortable relationship with the press.
  13. There is a massive gulf between Robbie Howard and Nick Lee. Much larger than the gap between Nick Lee and Zain Retherford.
  14. I too find it weird. Has Spencer Lee ever even said coaching is one of his goals? The last interview of his I saw, he placed heavy emphasis on international competition, but I don't recall any talk of coaching.
  15. I started this on TheMat.com and a lot of people added good stuff to it, so I think I will reprise it here. I cannot remember everything I had on the list, never mind what others added, so hopefully the collective brain can recall it all. Not one, but two 4 timers - Both Spencer Lee and Yianni Diakomihalis are heavy favorites to do the deed and join the pantheon of all-time greats (Pat Smith, Aaron Brooks has a shot at his third title with four still on the table. Also with four still on the table is Keegan O'Toole, but he needs to win number two first. Carter Starocci is the only wrestler in NCAA history that has a shot at five titles, as long as he gets number three this year. Gable Steveson and Roman Bravo-Young can each finish their career as 75%ers (assuming Steveson chooses to wrestle this year). ASU is looking to win their fourth straight PAC-12 championship. NC State is looking to win their fifth straight ACC championship. Campbell is also looking for their fifth straight SoCon championship. What else?
  16. You had to know where I would go with this. Katie Ledecky wins on longevity stats too. She has not lost a 1500 meter race in over a decade, going back to when she was 14. She has the 25 fastest times in history in the 800 meters. And she has 18 of the 25 fastest times in history in the 1500 and 400. Bonkers stats. Sorry, sorry. I forgot my place. Go JB.
  17. And what if you don't know? What is the significances of magistrate.
  18. TheMat.com Gone, Lost, and Forgotten http://johnnythompsonnum1.blogspot.com/2020/10/gone-lost-forgotten-final-post.html?m=1
  19. There are also 20 who went 3 for 3 during the no-freshman eligibility eras.
