  1. I would like to say Dake is at the top, but he also got molly-whopped vs Kadimagomedov and I'm not sure he's beating Sidakov. Yet he's absolutely unstoppable domestically. Is this just a matter of his competition being better?
  2. Please explains yourselves...
  3. Looks like there is at least speculation that Alirez is entering the portal. Worth discussing.
  4. He definitely didn't have much for Sinclair surprisingly. We'll see if Sinclair redshirts or not but he's a beast.
  5. Ben Askren running around in his bare feet pissing off the refs / judges lmao.
  6. And Webster beat Mendez fairly recently... Just to put things in perspective.
  7. Why isn't there any discussion about this tournament? Some great wrestling. This PJ Duke kid is colder than an ice road trucker.
  8. Everyone seems to just assume since Brooks beat DT that he'll do the same to Yazdani due to transitive property, but I'm interested to see how that match goes. Who's able to push who around, who's able to get to the underhooks, etc. Brooks doesn't wrestle like DT.
  9. Christian Pyles said on FRL that he heard Blaze is going to Penn State. Realistically, it's between PSU and OSU. And, hate to say it, but I wonder if Tom Ryan's accident and being out of commission in a crucial time for recruiting has any impact. You'd hope not, but this has gotta be when everyone is putting the full court press on...
  10. Doesn't look like we have anybody on pace for 4 as of right now so we'll have to look at the incoming classes. I'd say most likely is Penn State with the recruits they're bringing in. Unless somebody else snags Marcus Blaze (pls do this Buckeyes).
  11. Great question, I would think it's a person who's exceptionally good and the best of the past 15-20 years or so. So good they stick out from the rest. I don't think Brooks can be defined that yet. Gable is probably one. Snyder for sure. Mike Trout. And then you got guys like Shohei Ohtani who is what, a once in a lifetime talent?
  12. I was kinda trolling by my post, it'd be incredibly way too long if it was added to the men's tournament lol. The Olympic trials were very frustrating to watch because there was too much going on.
  13. Great news for women's wrestling. How would y'all feel if, like the Olympic Trials, this was simply added to the Men's Tourney? With all of the supporters, I think most on this board would approve of that move.
  14. I'm wondering what all is considered revenue for the RTC. Is the money they raise i.e. are donated considered revenue?
  15. Yeah, no kidding. "Hey Frank, just tech him in 10 seconds next time. Duh, what the hell were you thinking?"
  16. Oh geeze that's terrible. Hope he turns out okay.
  17. Stieber came close at the age of 18 (junior or senior year): "He was the lone high school wrestler to compete at the 2009 World Team Trials, a World Championships qualifier contested by U.S. Olympic-caliber wrestlers, where he placed fourth."
  18. Interesting. I would just like for our referees to call things similarly to international officials (aside from the scandals e.g. Chamizo of course) as it seems our domestic refs do not.
  19. There's no question the singlet pull happened, but I'm not sure on the rules around this. Is it an automatic point no matter what, or does it have to give the wrestler an advantage? I'm not sure how that little tug could have any effect on what's going on.
  20. Praise the Lord... Just... Yeah, praise the Lord
  21. Too much effing around with cows and smoothies.
  22. Brooks didn't seem surprised to win at all. Against Zahid he seemed ecstatic.
