Try and not focus on the person. The fact that the UFC and its 12 billion dollar worth cared enough to send one of their top representatives to a college wrestling event, a sport in trouble and desperately in need of a life line. We are in no position to speak so loudly and boldly when we need them more than they need us. The wrestling community has a habit of mouthing off when we should be more appreciative of what ever and whom ever we get in our corner besides the same o same o (Billy Baldwin ). I read some of the comments about DC and the UFC in general earlier this morning and it reminded me of some of rotten things said about RBY and Gomez recently. Lose lips sink ships and our ship is sinking fast.

It will definitely be close. Carters bulky knee brace is obviously a hindrance but the question is does he remove it in order to defeat two former NCAA champs this afternoon? My prediction: 5-3 Starocci over Meiki with or without the brace.

Nittany - how do you like Beaus chances of going all the way at this point. I do not see that but what are your thoughts?

congrats man that takes ALOT of discipline and determination to lose that amount of weight.

first of all, you are not the target audience they're going after. They tried something different to elevate the sport but its falling flat on its face. Lets face it, there is not much more to take from us - but yet "they" found a way just like they did by eliminating the big10 heavy weight match. Then they remove the former "free" NCAA multi mat setup which was packaged into many of our cable companies like Comcast where I'm already paying $260 a freakin month.. Add to that the issues noted by another poster and you can kiss the sport goodbye as we know it. Next year they will force feed womens wrestling side by side with mens while doubling up on even more commercials and idiotic meaningless interviews.

Not harsh enough for me. In addition asking us to pay even more money for the 8 mat set up when we got it for free last year changes the grade to F for me.
