  1. finished his last 2 years in high school with 72 pins. Heavy weight class just got really interesting!
  2. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1228784501086568?fs=e&s=aEkTS0&mibextid=z9DgKg raise your volume to hear the narrator
  3. came back strong for third - could have / should have been Lee, but he chose to quit which he just did again more recently. There's a difference between mice and men. The mice make excuses like woosies while real men leave it all on the mat fighting to the end no matter what.
  4. lmao? Wow, imagine how everyone would have felt if he simply said "congrats" and left it at that. Lets hope the wrestling fans forget this as quickly as they seem to have forgotten about what Brooks said.
  5. plus the cameraman spent too much damn time focusing on interviews and other things. Interviews are welcomed but not at the expense of the greatest tournament on earth. There should live wrestling 100% of the time - period.
  6. wow that was a great read - thank you for sharing!
  7. Exciting topic which translates to excitement going into the 2023 / 2024 season. Out with the old and in with the new - can't wait!
  8. I’m not surprised at all and I predict it will only get worse. That’s what happens when you fail to promote a sport that clearly deserves much more than it’s getting. IMO the majority of those in charge are the antithesis of the toughness displayed on the mat by our D1 wrestlers. Most are weak, frail and too afraid to do what Chael just did. We need new leadership before we see improvements. Perhaps the MMA could some how take more of a leadership role in promoting HS / College wrestling since they reap the benefits of some of our most elite wrestlers.
  9. We don't need an explanation. For those of from PA who watched some of his matches, some of us are not surprised. It's time to move on. Time to look forward. Lets hope the youngest of our wrestlers learns from this. "Non Desistas Non Exieris" / "Never Give Up Never Surrender"
  10. yea I hear ya - anything is possible but I still feel Carter has the edge in attitude and confidence which he backs up on the mat.

  12. According to Carter, his coaches "made me a monster." This 3 time monstrosity has no need to drop down a weight next year- for what? Nope, he'll coast right into the 2024 finals winning his 4th, and he'll do it with a smile all while being "cocky, unfocused never pushing himself or improving."
  13. sorry about that folks. I only meant to post one response but it wouldnt post so I clicked it several times only to learn it finally posted more times than I intended Andrew Alirez is my choice for the Hodge
  14. Either way you have to admit it this certainly adds excitement going into 2024. Brooks vs. Ferrari champ finals would be just as exciting for me as the RBY vs Aruja match.
  15. Seems like Iowa is a place where wrestlers go to get a second chance. Nothing wrong with that.
  16. I'll tell you what - this is EXACTLY what the sport of wrestling needs NOW and into the FUTURE, make no mistake about it.
  17. with a name like Bonaccorsi - I bet his Mom makes a mean Bolognese sauce!
