    They're chronically out of shape and most guys are just trying to surprise guys from the outside with speed.

    For pure wrestling yes. But it would require too many changes as the periods are short. Also the crying from Christian Pyle would be unbearable.

    I'm so glad you brought up the term "dual tournament" it barely makes sense. And it literally makes sense for what you would call an "individual tournament" in that tournament its still TWO competitors. Does NCAA even do round Robins? The term dual is dumb and redundant. The term team match is not, the term duel is also more specific. Because "match" doesn't specify the number of competitors which was just so important to you with the last definition.

    Match and duel are the two terms in wrestling and we use them backwards. You don't go watch a team dual consisting of matches you go watch a match consisting of individual duels.

    The season should be based around duels with only a few marquee tournaments. Maybe a winter break tourney. The conferences and championship. If that's too much cut the winter tournament.

    I signed in to say this comment is gross. Cael is not the God of college wrestling who rules by word. Maybe if duels mattered penn state would duel interesting teams and not just try to throw soft balls till the end of the year. Duels are better for everyone. They are better for fans because tournaments are chaos for watching your faves, nd they're better for programs because they foster rivalries and loyalty.

    Personal opinions, especially correct ones, are one thing. But if you are speaking in your professional space it's best to act like an adult and he doesn't.

    Money talks is a more accurate statement. Because even in instances where it may not be about money, money still speaks very loudly. I can get on board for that. But I don't think the disrespect male wrestling is receiving from D1 schools and the sports world in general is ABOUT money.

    You were saying something everyone says that is false. It wasn't a true statement. It's not about money it's about respect. The women's wrestling team in bring in more money? I doubt it but maybe. Right now people respect women's wrestling and men's wrestling has none. No one cares we are the world champs.... no one cared. But there's a hunger for women's freestyle at the college level? It's not about money. Appreciate all you do man. I know you work hard.

    If money talks none of these teams would even have a women's program. The truth is they do what they want and the wrestling community takes it a lot of the time. It's not about money it's a complete lack of respect. I can guarantee male wrestling is not the their biggest cost to value ratio.

    I'm am ASU fan and Jacori does not need to back peddle like that for the entire match for "his style" it looked like he realized he could get away with it and it allowed him go save energy for his explosive stuff. Was clear as day stalling IMO.

    Sure if that's the credit people are fighting for. He had the ability to see a man rolling, let him roll, see the roll was middle school flopping, and lay on top of him. I thought we were arguing over wether it was impressive, which it isnt.

    That's not true at all. Folkstyle is a straight up better sport with more objective scoring. No one wants to watch a sport where. One guy stars out on bottom, leg lace techs are supposed to be cool, pushouts encourage unfinished shots and the ref can't stop blowing the whistle and no one knows who hets the points for a move because its sloppy. It's hot garbage. My friends come over for folkstyle if I have it on. No one comes for free.

    I enjoyed it. At the end they discuss how to do a wrestling grand slam and David says it would need to be unrelated to worlds. Perfect! Do folkstyle, all these great american legends and no one watches because the style is trash. They won a world championship and no one cared. If you want eyes on the best American guys they need to wrestle our domestic style.
