  1. Franek MFFL to Robb, that might be the deciding factor
  2. I do. Looked like a beatdown you see from a top guy in the first round of a high school state tournament. “Very average”, so is the 125 champ. Never mind his guy took what, 8th? Teched for 8th?
  3. Haha no, I was a little disappointed with some of the theatrics at the end too. Couldn’t see it all or know exactly what happened. I’ve always liked the McKee’s
  4. Nebraska has a lot of consolation wrestlers, more on the mat at the same time than Penn State has in the whole round. Teske was robbed, Hardy still can’t beat a diminished Woods
  5. Lol, two already are AA’s, the other two are true freshmen. One’s a backup 141 lber that challenges your best wrestler. The strength of your team is from 125-149 and Penn State’s very average group will STILL have a higher average seed at NCAA’s. Still think PSU’s vulnerable in two weeks? I want Jimmy back
  6. Yeah, if they all drastically perform under expectation and suffer multiple injuries to probable champs they MIGHT take 2nd place? They’re either “deep”(very good) or everyone else is ridiculously bad. Which one is it?
  7. Shapiro beats Haines in the quarters? What seeds are you expecting for those two? Big Ten’s will likely be close for several reasons, NCAA’s will likely be much wider. Starroci perhaps not being able to go could change that significantly.
  8. Pinto’s strength saved him, dude’s a hoss. Same thing for Truax, just gotta finish one more TD.
  9. What? No Nagao? This is gonna be a close dual, at the very least Penn State’s closest by far. Nebraska might split matches with them
  10. This is not the Robb of last year, 2-4 in his last six? If he gets the Haines from last Friday, it could be a struggle in keeping it to a decision. I hope Taylor is good on his feet and really gets after him, MM will tech him instead of just a MD
  11. That stall on Kueter with 15 seconds left…I could have been a message board legend.
  12. Lol, here we go again. So sick of Lewan
  13. You when Michigan won B10’s a couple years ago.
  14. Hope that doesn’t happen for multiple reasons. I’d rather see him wrestle Mendez in the SF’s than Hardy.
  15. 125 Ayala dec. Davis 3-0 133 Nagao md Schriever/Teske 3-4 141 Woods dec. Bartlett 6-4 149 Kasak dec. Voin/Rathjen 6-7 157 Haines dec. Franek 6-10 165 Mesenbrink dec. Caliendo 6-13 174 Starocci md Kennedy 6-17 184 Truax dec. Riggins/Arnold 6-20 197 Brooks md Glazier 6-24 285 Kerkvliet md Hill/Kueter 6-28
  16. No need to insult me because you can’t use simple helping verbs correctly. Can’t and won’t must be distinguished, I had no idea of your intent or meaning. Are you not willing to include Bartlett in a much smaller number under 33 that has a higher probability of winning a title than the field? You sure are with Purdue’s only hope in Ramos. I don’t know if and where fluctuating odds for individuals to win titles can be found, but I would think Bartlett at 141 is higher right now than 125.
  17. You don’t believe the undefeated and #1 ranked wrestler at whatever weight in February CAN win a national title? It’s unlikely he will, but can? He just beat Mendez and Woods looked horrific on the same night. He has as reasonable a chance as any other one guy. Versus the field, it’d be slim odds.
  18. Very low, that’s just probability with sports in general. Especially wrestling. There may be a backup(s), I’d still have Ayala and Woods as slight favorites. PSU seemed a little lethargic and off last night, but that happens almost ritually every year until the NCAA tournament with them. Peaking cycles I suppose
  19. To be associated with the wizardly wealth of statistical and wrestling knowledge that WKN possesses is one of my greatest achievements in life! Thought about putting Haines at the top, even though it pains me. Based on how he’s looked much of the year, I’m not sure he’ll even make the semis. It’ll get corrected
  20. In order: Crookham Haines Lovett Woods Keck O’Toole Kerk Brooks Starocci
  21. If Penn State still had Van Ness, I believe that would be the difference. But alas, it’s neither here nor there. All-timers like Brooks and Starocci help neutralize a lot of situations
  22. Stalrocci lol, nhs is a funny guy. I really think PSU has enough scoring wrestlers to win it all this year. Is this the real Jimmy C?
